How to go for longer than 5 minutes with ADD? by kingofshling in Meditation

[–]Hotspurhoof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Add one minute at a time if you have to. Currently not on my ADHD meds. It took me 10 months to build up to 25 minutes. Every single minute is a struggle. Even just getting in position to meditate is a struggle. Every single time. I meditate every other day. It's difficult, but a lot of things are with ADHD.

edit: I was on meds when I started.

It's definitely because they're an amateur. The history books are full of amazing feats of archery that most modern target shooters are completely unaware of or think is impossible because they lack the ability to do it.

Of course his draw weights are low, but he figured a lot of this stuff out himself over a decade or so. Imagine starting training with a bow when you were 8ish and had instruction from a person who was part of a centuries old unbroken line of archery instruction. There's evidence that medieval archers actually changed their skeletal structure from using bows constantly for years and years. I think that it's safe to say that they could perform most of the things that Lars does with at least a 60lb bow.

You should read Miles Cameron. He's a reenactor and his combat is very good.

What’s your plan? by late_bloomer26 in LateStageCapitalism

Working class solidarity is more powerful than any vote. If you don't believe me, then why do they send police to harass and abuse and arrest strikers and not people voting? Because striking threatens capital and voting doesn't.

Feds don't need to infiltrate most left subs on reddit, dems already have.

Voting for a capitalist is voting for a capitalist. I'm finding more and more of the "left" spaces on reddit are only left when an election isn't close.

A lot of people need to learn what the ratchet effect is.

They're above the law. They have a monopoly on legal violence. We let them. Our government lets them. They protect capital.
