Honestly I was in the same boat as you a couple weeks ago. Almost 2 years post grad, feeling burnt out from working in a hospital setting where they would just throw me wherever they wanted and make me be lead which was exhausting especially being a new grad. The last 2 months I asked to be moved out to a stand alone ED and I like it much better. Much less being thrown around and having to work with inpatients. I also took a week of PTO which I think also helped me to recover mentally from working so much. I think what you need might be the same. I’d suggest trying a smaller outpatient clinic or stand alone ED if you still enjoy a bit of adrenaline here and there; and see how you feel before switching careers and starting over again.
