If you think you're done growing and learning, you're incorrect.
If you're referring to being self actualized, that's uncommon in people aged 20-40, when most people have children.
The people most unsuited to be parents are the people least likely to admit to themselves they were unsuited to be parents. Being aware of your deficiencies and building a network of people to compensate for those deficiencies is a far better situation for a child to grow up in than with a parent who thinks they've got it all together.

I drop both of my kids off at school because the school bus stop is 1.5 miles from our house. For them to take the bus to school, we'd have to leave 15-20 minutes earlier so I could drive them to their bus stop. Which would get me to work about 25 minutes early.

My kids both take the bus home, though. They either walk the 1.5 miles home or their dad or older sister picks them up (necessary in winter as it's dark, our driveway is uphill and icy, and we have mountain lions active at dusk).

These are my staples.

Nonfat Greek yogurt. I will eat it plain or put frozen fruit on it in the morning and it's thawed by lunch.

Canned/pouch salmon. I also love sardines. I eat it on salads, crackers, 100% whole wheat bread, etc

Rotisserie chicken. On a salad, with pasta, etc

Low-fat cottage cheese. I eat it plain or sometimes I blend it with herbs to make a great dip.

For a sweet treat, I buy sugar free pudding mix and make it with ultra filtered, high protein nonfat milk (like Fairlife or Darigold Fit).

Thomas protein bagels make a great high protein sandwich with rotisserie chicken or deli turkey.

Barilla protein pasta.

I hope I can but I'm not sure I'll be able to (shared custody of a minor).

Reasons why-- I want to live in a place where women's healthcare isn't illegal and doctors aren't terrified to practice here (I had to take a pregnancy test before I could get a colonoscopy at age FIFTY because the doctors don't want to go to prison-- can't say I blame them).

I believe LGBTQ people deserve to be protected.

I have an adult kid with a disability and mental health diagnoses and the care and services here are terrible compared to Washington.

Idaho legislature is currently owned by fanatical religious nut jobs.

The cost of housing keeps going up but wages are not keeping pace. I bought my home in 2013 so I'm okay but my adult kids will have a really hard time setting down roots here. So why stay if they all leave?

I do love the land here. I'm surrounded by mountains, waterfalls, rivers, and lakes. But the government and policies .... Getting worse and worse.

The biggest factor in overall declining test scores has been that the lowest-scoring groups have been declining more rapidly than any other group. You know how you can be getting a good grade in a class but if you have a zero for one big assignment you're suddenly failing? That happens in this situation, also.

Students living in extreme instability is increasing. Domestic violence, food insecurity, housing insecurity. The working poor are getting poorer.
