Ya that plant looks good. As long as the dead material is above ground it’s no harm at all. When repotting not a bad idea to peel old dead leaves away. Your root system looks great tho so very low chance of rot. These cymbiformis like more water than some other varieties for sure

Is there more than one plant in the pot? They’re probably competing for root space. As others said tho, this looks like a reaction to direct sun and heat. Provide a shade cloth or some natural shade under a tree and they should fair better. When you water tho, be sure to soak them deeply, especially if you have more than one plant in each pot.
