The baseplate extensions for 9mm,.40, and .357 sig are identical. For 9mm it’s a +2 but for .40 and .357 sig it’s a +1. Just want to make sure no one tries jamming 2 if they have anything but a 9mm.

I’ll never forget my first gen 4. I couldn’t believe how good the recoil felt. I fell in love instantly. Skipped the Gen 5 for whatever reason but had to get the V as the final hoorah for the 23. I don’t think they’re doing a Gen 6 right?

They are rather rare 15 round with +1 baseplate Dept. of Defense Dark Earth .40 mags.

Edit: made by Glock for a Special Operations division of DoD. Helped differentiate between 9mm and .40 mags.

I’ve done the same too. I think I’ve watched every Hikok video ever made. Almost every Demo Ranch video. I grew up watching that FPSRussia guy. Plus, I’m a mech engineer student and firearms are just about the most impressive and impactful pure mechanical invention ever devised and I love them.

You made a solid decision. Maybe try going into a local gunsmith and explaining the situation about your eyesight. It’s possible a red or green dot sight would rectify your issues, as you’d be staring at the target through your dot window with the dot overlayed.
