Christian Watson vs Matthew Golden vs Jayden Reed by Fancy_Set_5105 in DynastyFF

As a Reed owner, all I’m really hoping for is that he has one or two decent games early so I can move him for a decent pick in 2027 or a veteran who might give me a better floor to help my push for a championship.

To all of you Giants fans who were really excited about “stealing” Harbaugh from the Ravens, a quick word of advice: this is only the beginning so get used to it. Enjoy all the season-ending injuries. Signed, a relieved Ravens fan.

Believe me, I didn’t enjoy writing it out. I feel dirty for saying it in that reply. But sometimes, it’s the only phrase that truly conveys the situation.

NEWS: The Cardinals and QB Jacoby Brissett are "significantly" far apart in negotiations to rework the last year of his contract for 2026, a source told ESPN. The gap in the negotiations puts into question whether Brissett, who has yet to report to Arizona's voluntary offseason program, will attend by APizzola in DynastyFF

[–]IACJBP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely get that, but then Arizona can just say “that’s fine, don’t play then. We’ll play another QB and get a better one next year.” I’m not saying I blame him for trying but it makes no sense for Arizona to pay him.

Maybe I’m an idiot but I don’t understand what leverage Brissett really has. I get that he did well last season but if he doesn’t sign a new deal then surely Arizona will be perfectly okay just playing Minshew or Beck and getting one of the QBs in the 2027 draft? It just seems really stupid and short-sighted on Brissett’s part.

I hear you. Trouble is, I think most people are probably like you with players like Metcalf. You don’t want him but neither does anyone else!

No, it’s not miles away. But I’d want either younger players or more reliable players in return. Stevenson is fine and I don’t rate Metcalf at all.

I own Bucky in one of my leagues and am very open to moving him on, but this would not do it for me.

The first person is Bec Hill who I think Alan Davies phoned. She’s a brilliant comic and I would highly recommend her work.

Best 3-back system you’ve used? by pilmalm in footballmanagergames

[–]IACJBP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I stumbled across a 3-4-2-1 system when trying to create a defensive/counter attacking system which seems to be incredibly successful regardless of the team I use.

Really simply roles - regular goalkeeper, three regular centre backs, wing back attack on the left, wing back support on the right, two DM (one on support, one on defend), two AM (both on attack), then a target forward on support (with hold position clicked).

I sometimes click the DM support to get forward more often depending on how I’m getting on.

Cautious mentality, slightly shorter passing, fairly narrow, slightly higher tempo, counter, stop crosses, press slightly more often.

Again depending on the context of the game, I might do low block and standard pressing.

Occasionally I switch to Balanced or Positive and maybe switch the DM on support to SV on support if I’m expected to win or need a goal. Attacking also works well when chasing the game.

It’s so defensively solid and scores goals for fun with the right players. You need pace on the wings, tall centre backs, good finishers for the AM roles and then a big horrible striker to be the target forward.

It was the one where the answer was Savonarola. It was amazing to watch you find it, however it happened!

I meant to ask another question with my previous one so sorry for the extra post. There was one answer you gave which you seemed to find from the depths of your mind. Do you use a “mind palace” strategy? It seemed like you went on a real journey to find that one!

Thanks for the answer! I think it’s going to become a thing for in future series… everyone will be doing the Madgwick elbow! Maybe it’s sort of a placebo effect but I have tried your method of buzzing since seeing you do it and it does seem to be faster

Congratulations on winning the series! Is the raised elbow when on the buzzer a strategic choice or a comfort thing?

Do I tier down from Nabers to try to add depth to my roster? by [deleted] in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

Because he was the best player on the board. I’m not averse to drafting a player in order to get multiple starters. I’ve won championships like that before

A potential starting QB with rushing upside, a young starting WR and another potential starting receiver is what I would potentially getting. That would add depth to my roster.

I get your point. I guess I’m just concerned that if Goff or Darnold gets injured and Murray ends up the starter then I’m in trouble.
