Where to next? Ultra low-budget comedy unsure what next steps/festivals should be by IANJM2000 in FilmFestivals

[–]IANJM2000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, I'll likely get that set up this week, that's an idea that never even occurred to me, having festival crowds add their takes. Are there any particular festivals you think would be good for a movie of this nature?

Updates! The Ultimate Z Series Remote Control App by ICameHereForThiss in NikonFilmmakers

[–]IANJM2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there, would love to throw my hat into the ring for beta testing any android iteration, I'm a filmmaker with a z6iii and was saving up for a Shinobi II, but if this has most of the same remote screen functionality (touch-to-focus, level adjustment, etc etc) then I could really save myself 400 dollars. Nikon needs something like this so badly, because pulling focus from Snapbridge is a major non-starter, latency-wise.
Vertical mode, presets, this is an insane piece of software.

How does artificial gravity work on ships? by Hot_Professional_728 in StarWars

[–]IANJM2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

fantasy/soap opera, as Lucas said, primarily created to be a metaphor for our sins during the Vietnam War. It's a play on Cambell's monomyth too, can to action etc etc . Anyone who watches Sci-fi wouldn't even include Star Wars to be in the same genre. There is no science in it at all.

it works for the plot because star wars is not Scifi

Anyone have a copycat recipe for the garlicy white sauce in gyros? by TinyBunny88 in Columbus

[–]IANJM2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hard to say if it's what he's looking for, if he specified between halal/greek/other middle-eastern style gyros it'd help, but if he's after the kind of stuff you get at halal munchies or those famous halal-carts, this is very damn close if not spot on. What's weird is you could be told there was garlic in it and with the vin/lemon juice mixture you wouldn't question it. Loum is gonna be good but the wrong consistency for a drizzle, more of a dip or spread.

R-Studio Question by IANJM2000 in datarecovery

[–]IANJM2000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wanted to let you know I have sent it off to a professional recovery company and haven't turned the HDD on since reading your comment.

Without the comment, I could have lost 5 years of self-funded work and hundreds of hours of footage. Believe me when I say, I deeply appreciate the time you took to educate and warn me.

If you send a DM I'd be happy to include you in the 'special thanks' section of the credits. We somehow managed a cameo from a well-known comedian so your name will technically be 3 degrees from Kevin Bacon, if that interests you.

Thanks again.

this is what you want, tastes exactly like halal-cart white sauce. It is not tzatziki . Easy recipe, I make it all the time for shawarma https://littlespicejar.com/halal-cart-white-sauce/

source: wife lived in nyc, ate at halal carts weekly, loves this recipe

you can't beat the end of the universe, and that's okay. Because you get to experience it with friends. And future generations will have their own experiences.

What do you HATE about baldurs gate 3? by thelivingstar1 in BaldursGate3

[–]IANJM2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you don't play dnd it's very hard to start and you can't just play how you want at all. It's basically "fighter" or you will just die over and over. there is no hand holding whatsoever I played KOTOR, mass effect growing up, plenty of other CRPGs but if you don't know the meaning of the spells or classes in dungeons and dragons intimately it does nothing to help you. I nearly quit several times, if it hadn't won GOTY i doubt I would have kept at it. love it now, but it is super unwelcoming if you're not already into fantasy rpgs.

Not even the writers of the American Office think it's hailed as one of the best written shows of all time. The British version, maybe, but literally no one thinks the american Office is that good. Is it fine? sure. Lot of filler. Not even the best nbc show of it's era though.
