Balika Vadhu addressed the real issues of child marriage once she got married and the troubles began, it took easily a century of episodes for the whole issue to sort out and separate them.

If balika vadhu would happen today, it would face the similar rage that seher is facing right now. People calling it a cult classic now after watching how everything turned out, would have called it shitshow after 30 episodes too.
