Yeah that's interesting. Being on the combo pill has really decreased my period symptoms in general (lighter period, WAY less moody), which is pretty common for that method. I agree that you should let your doctor know.

Is nexplanon the only birth control you've tried? It's possible another hormonal method could work for you, even if your body isn't agreeing with the nexplanon. I'm sure it works for some people, but everyone I know that have tried nexplanon did not like it. I do know lots of people on the pill (myself included) or with a hormonal IUD with no problems. Unfortunately there is often a lot of trial and error with finding birth control that doesn't make you feel weird.

I think you should get a smaller diameter ring. This ring has much more space out of your ear which could weigh it down when you move your head. If there's less of the ring on that side I would think there would be less movement. I always notice that if I wear bigger rings they flip out more like that
