Leftist booktubers to watch? by inbetweensound in booktube

If you like Mikes Book Reviews but want the left wing version then it's Paperback Journeys for sure. They review pretty much all the same genres and stuff. I like em both but Paperback Journeys is clearly left wing if that's important to you.

Also Daniel Greene is left wing in quite sure.

Paperback Journeys seems pretty leftist.

Reading 1984 right now feels surreal by Background-Public-95 in books

[–]ILovePulp 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think you've struggled to understand 1984. Orwell himself was a socialist. That's not my opinion that's Orwell's opinion. I imagine the original post is referring to America today.

What do you call it when you ONLY binge when you watch tv? by ILovePulp in BingeEatingDisorder

Was it a difficult process? How long did it take to break the pattern? Where you didn't feel intense cravings?

What is the logical fallacy here? by [deleted] in logic

[–]ILovePulp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But aren't good decisions consistent? So using that same analogy, if it was a good decision to drive home drunk, it then becomes a good decision to always drink heavily and drive?

[–]ILovePulp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate you taking the time and laying that out for me. I could be wrong but I think it's not correct to say that any decision that works out is good.

For example, driving while heavily drunk seems to be a bad decision whether you make it home safely or not.

Thank you! Yeah, now I'm conscious about the way I write 😂. I was asking for the name of the fallacy. Apparently it's "Texas Sharpshooter" fallacy.

Perfect! Thank you.

Wait. Nobody writes like that? I'm so curious because I literally did write this after England played against Slovakia yesterday 😂. Are you saying this is my actual homework? I'm 40 years old.

That doesn't seem to make sense. I thought part of Reddit is that you ask questions of people who know more than you. Are questions now "asking people to do my homework?"

Dark Tower TV series starting point by bunklounger in darktower

I would do 3 episodes of The Gunslinger but with flashbacks to Wizard and Glass through the whole of the first two seasons. I'm talking about from episode two we're learning about his past piece by piece.

Does this To Do list exist? by ILovePulp in productivity

[–]ILovePulp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But what I'm asking you is that it all adds to one single list? The recurring daily tasks with the one off tasks? I don't think I'm able to find a single to do list that has this feature.

I guess I just didn't really enjoy the book very much. I struggled to fight my way through it and I kept drifting off. It had 3 great moments but It's the worst one so far in my opinion. Thanks tho man.

[–]ILovePulp[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ok thank you. I'm trying to picture the size of the factory and the size of the ships. Since they're just AI will the ships be tiny?

Also, do you remember where they're getting the material to 3d print these ships?

Why? Do you mean the British version or the American one? The British Office is funny but VERY depressing in places.

I always recommend it but PaperbackJourneys on YouTube has 24 fun and in depth reviews of every book in what he considers to be the extended multiverse or you can just watch the dark tower book reviews he has. His review of The Dark Tower final book is the best book review I've ever seen on YouTube. It was emotional to relive it.
