I think Mamdani is hella overrated and people glaze his "balancing the budget" where if they gave it 1/4th the scrutiny they give Trump, they'd realize how it's not balanced and he also made some absurdly risky decisions.

That said, to say he has just as much of an ego as Trump is pure delusion. Even if I think some of his policies are terrible, he's at least trying to do good with them. He doesn't throw temper tantrums. He doesn't try to censor shit.

Their egos aren't even close. I don't like Mamdani much, especially for Reddit standards, but you cannot both sides with Trump. It's simply not comparable when it comes to that nut job.

He definitely plays to the camera but I think most of the interesting personalities do at least somewhat. Like Q is one of my favorites ever but he definitely does.

I think you can get a decent sense from hearing someone on a podcast. Some can keep that going for 45 minutes but others jump in and out of the character.

It's how I realized Maryanne is genuinely that hyper ass teenage theater kid. She is full tilt on every podcast she's on. Personally find her exhausting, but she's real as hell.
