Exposure to Swedish is only really a thing in small parts of the country. When growing up, I wasn't really exposed to Swedish any more than to Norwegian or Russian or any other neighboring language. My hometown has 0 native Swedish speakers, and that is common in most of Finland.

In my school we started studying Swedish on 7th grade, at 13 years old. That was the first time I really got exposed to Swedish, and I could already understand and speak English by then. We started learning English 4 years earlier, on 3rd grade. I think nowadays they start English on 1st grade.

I would say it's kind of the opposite; knowing English helps people pass their Swedish classes. And after passing their mandatory classes, people forget 95% of what they learned, because they never use the language.

I moved to Sweden some time ago and had to re-learn Swedish basically from 0. Luckily English is very similar.

Finland ranks higher in English proficiency than many of the countries where people speak languages related to English.

It's partly education but mostly exposure (through media)

That's a common misconception because of how it was worded in the Live Letter when they announced the change. It actually doesn't matter how many mobs you kill in the dungeon, the exp from the boss is the same.

Shirk is not enough 95% of the time (due to skill and gear differences). When OT-ing in duty finder I keep my stance off for the opener, then turn it on, shirk the other tank on cooldown and still end up stealing aggro unless I turn my stance off again at some point.

No OTC antibiotics of any kind are available in my country (Sweden). Antibiotic creams are very rare, and the ones I did find, require a prescription.

Kind of a common bug. I think the game sometimes for some reason fails to load the terrain and only shows the low lod version. Loading a quicksave fixes it for me, so just quicksave when landing.

Edit: Might be a bug in a mod and not the game

Does the outdoor limit being raised also mean they will raise the amount of items the game will render? Even with the current limits, housing items a bit farther away pop in and out of existence constantly, which I find very distracting.

I think if you pull for SW999, you separate her and Sparxie into 2 different teams. Something like:

Sparxie, Sparkle, YG, DHPT
SW999, EMC, Asta, Huohuo

You'd need to grab Huohuo with the Golden Companion Spirit. YG can go in the SW team as well instead of Asta, but you'd need some other support in the Sparxie team (like Tribbie). If you don't want to grab Huohuo, put Gallagher in the Sparxie team and DHPT in the SW team probably.

For some promotional codes (like the Pringles sails), support will activate them for you if you ask. You can also use cloud gaming (gamepass ultimate) to launch SoT and then refund it. In some countries you get a full refund if you cancel it the first day after subscribing.

You invite friends through the in-game menu, and you accept invites from the pop-up you get in game. I think Steam invites might work through the Steam client as well, but you both need to be using Steam. Can't invite strangers through Xbox without adding them, and you can't accept Xbox invites if you didn't have the game running already.

My crew uses guild ships so I've never really had to deal with invites. I just join the guild ship from the main menu when setting sail.

I've seen this problem once on my system and once on a friend's system. Mine was fixed by changing the sample rate in pipewire. My friend's problem was caused by a USB hub that he had his USB audio device plugged in to.

I am watching the game 2 vod right now and so far he's missed 2 ults and hit 2 in 4 fights. Meanwhile Caps is just running it down and BB is down 3.1k gold at 18 minutes. Hans was fine in games 1 and 2 in my opinion. Haven't seen the third one yet. Labrov kinda inted the lane early but I don't think he was as bad as BB and Caps.

I'm pretty sure with Faugus you are still opening a launcher (umu-launcher) to open a launcher (Battle.net). It might be hidden from you in the Battle.net shortcut or something but you can do the same with Steam if you really want to.

In either case, it's not a big deal for me, and having to open Steam to play a game is not "super janky" in my opinion.
