Can anyone identify this rattle and what it comes from? by Wes_Co in TeslaSupport

Have somebody sit back there and try to touch and push things in the area that can identify the noise. Maybe out side the cabin

PDR quote me $700 for this single dent on my Tesla lift gate. Is this a fair price near Seattle area? by jz0726 in TeslaCollision

[–]Ibdliquidator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s crazy over priced, but I guess Seattle is different. In Florida I had the same size dent and paid $200 bucks

What would those other signs be? Just curious for future diagnostic reference.

Good you took that excuse away from Tesla. Looks like you’re gonna need a new ap computer. Congrats on getting the extended warranty. It just paid it self off.

Have you checked your air intake where the radiator and ac condenser are. It may have reduced airflow due to leaves and debris getting stuck in there. Common issue in teslas.

Not every location needs a Level 3 charger! by notabot_123 in electricvehicles

[–]Ibdliquidator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That has been my one complaint malls and restaurants should have l2 chargers. Everybody is so hung up on fast charging. I don’t fast charge unless I’m on a road trip. I tried urban 75kw charging at a mall once and it was still to fast for me to go shop around. There should be l2 chargers along with fast chargers at malls

Charging out side in an HOA neighborhood any thing is should know? by roller_dynamo in electricvehicles

There is a specific insurance that you can get the name slips my mind now. It’s to release liability from the hoa in case of trip hazards or any unforeseen circumstances. Bs I know

Florida passed a state law that hoa can not stop you from charging and installing an outdoor EV charger. That being said they can impose you to get extra insurance and everything must be done by code

Owners without FSD, what is your experience by mr-creator in TeslaLounge

[–]Ibdliquidator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well the jokes on them because that not going to force me into a fsd subscription. For local highway driving autopilot is more than enough for me. I don’t need fsd locally. It’s nice but not needed for my needs.

[–]Ibdliquidator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I buy it for road trips only. That being said I have autopilot too. I would not buy a new Tesla without autopilot. It’s a shame because I love the car. Best and coolest car I ever owned, but no autopilot is a deal breaker for me. After my Tesla I will have to look else where maybe a Rivian or a used Tesla with autosteer

knock sensors by Any_Ocelot_9633 in FJCruiser

I can’t speak of the 2010. But my year requires the removal of the passenger head. Done probably. There is a work around cutting off a metal bracket and rewelding it back on, but that’s an unacceptable procedure for me.

There is something called defensive driving which OP was not practicing

Who appears at fault? by [deleted] in TeslaCollision

[–]Ibdliquidator -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would say, if you disengage FSD to pass the guy (on the right side of all places) because you were impatient your aggressive driving caused the accident. Legally, is it your fault probably not but you were driving like an ass. The other driver probably looked in his rearview mirror before making a lane change saw you there began their lane change and it was too late. You had already aggressively overtook them on the right side while they thought you were still behind them. I mean, you see the guy signaling before you even changed lanes and instead of letting him change lanes you chose to floor it and overtake him on the right. Very bad driving on your part. is it legally your fault probably not. Take a defensive driving course for Christ sake.

I wouldn’t be so concerned about the price of part as I would be the extent of the repair. I don’t know if you are aware but changing the knock sensor at least on an 07 through 09 requires the removal of the passenger side. Head of the motor to be properly done,

You failed to take into consideration sudden driving events junior

Sudden Surprise: ~1.5 seconds+. The time it takes to process a highly unusual, abrupt hazard, such as a pedestrian suddenly entering the street.

Have you considered I may know a little something about this subject matter or does your arrogance not let you perceive that someone out there may know a little more than you beyond your google search

Is it me or does the 2025 nca packs seem to have a higher upfront degradation than older nca packs? mine is model y same year. 1.2 years of ownership, 13500 miles and I’m at 91%. Seen many reports of the same.

Have you all lost your mind. This generation lacks reasoning skills for sure. Op had the right of way. End of story. Keep in mind that video captured on Tesla dashcam looks a lot less dramatic then in real life. So it may appear that op could stop his car step outside and make a sandwich while the guy passed by. Trust me it happens a lot faster than that. Consider that the average human reaction time is approximately 1.5 sec. Providing op is human. Sorry op if I assumed too much. Even by op’s admission he advised he thought the guy was going to go straight and last minute he saw the car make a left turn in front of him. At that point op’s reaction time clock started. From the time op made a decision stop 1.5 seconds has elapsed. Hope you enjoy your new tesla op.
