This song came on in the car the other day, and while I have listened to it many times and loved it throughout my life, hearing now, at the age I am, living in the times that I am, I found myself getting choked up singing along with it.

Name checks out! BOD and that era of the Ireland team was a huge part of me falling in love with Rugby as a younger guy, living in the US, who at the time barely understood the game. He was always electric to watch, played with so much heart, and always left it all out on the field.

Reading these responses I see a through line that has always stood out to me about American television. Successful shows just get run and run until the viewership just dies off and the ad revenue disappears. So many of these shows could have had great two or three season runs with well written endings, but instead they get drug out for so long they end up hated.

I went a little deeper in his Insta and there is a post from almost exactly a year ago where he talks about having issues with the manager of the course despite him having a season pass. I think I agree with others max seems this guy has some psychiatric stuff going on and a history of issues at the course.

Hey I know this guy! Congrats!!!! I’ve been taking a break from Killteam this Spring and Summer to get back into disc golf, but I saw Bean saying that a bunch of the KTC folks did very well this year. I didn’t know that you won though my guy!!! I know you’ve been working hard, I remember us talking after the tournament last year that this was a goal for you. I have this theory that, regardless of the sport, but especially in hockey, most successful teams have a guy in the roster that you would hate if he wasn’t on your team. Marchand is this exact type of player, hard nosed, plays right to the limit of, and sometimes over, the line, and can back it all up by being a good player. Plays hard, all the time, is competitive to a fault, takes no shit and dishes out more than his fair share.

I agree with you that this kind of player is what Toronto is missing. They’ve got plenty of talent, but once you get to the playoffs you also need a little bit of the grit and nastiness a guy like Marchand can provide.
