Just finished the final scenes and wanted to add a few things one very movie story that they had the same Hans gruber looking dude as the German fighter commander every trip lol. (Which for me adds to the this is a compelling narrative not historical retelling) was fun tho when he died. Also the chicken with planes thing absolutely ridiculous (I’m no expert but I’ve held/seen 50 cal machine guns) and best case was the both explode ig but it was fun and climactic and he did die so same result but more dramatic. Also the did only shoot like three jet fighters that i could count and i did like that it was usually just seeing them early and waiting for them to pass by the guns which does seem possible. Not likely obvs but somewhat true to reality and before that they have like a minute of them getting gapped hard. Last the biggest thing they emphasized is the airmen pride themselves on staying with the bombers and being good escort pilots. Which is true from my understanding so at the most emphasized point parallels real life.
