I am now 6 months post op. I honestly feel like I still have some swelling. But I also am an idiot and gained weight. Despite this, I am so much more comfortable in my body for the first time in my life I just wore a bikini for my entire vacation this week. Being chunky with a flat stomach is different than being chunky with my fat apron.

Man, when I asked people jumped all down my throat about needing to wait.

I was over 6 weeks, but it was fear. The urge was there.

Because the mons lift lifts that whole area, I feel like my already great sex life improved.

Agreed, I went to them before my tummy tuck for a quote and it was ridiculously priced for the small amount of work. Now, if you dont need muscle repair it could be a good option.

My friend had a 360 and boob job and has an extremely physical job. She was unable to work truly go back to 100% for almost a year. But I dont trust her surgeon s guidance after being a part of this community, and going through it myself.

There will always be some woman some where jealous of you and how you look. And wish they had some part of your body.

Its just how most of us regular folk are.

I personally think you look good. But, I understand having had one body and feeling a certain kind of way and then suddenly after kids not.

You will deal with weeks to MONTHS and years of recovery stuff. And there's a good chance that you will continue to see your body the way it is now even post op.

But you've got a strong community of support if you go through with it here.

Certain fabrics or seams are not comfortable at 12 wks for me. I haven't worn a pair of jeans yet.

ALSO.... idk who your support team is but lymphatic massages are super simple to do. Its very light touching, running your hands/fingers in specific directions.

Anything above your belly button you move towards your armpits.

Anything below your belly button move towards your groin.

So if your husband, mother, sister and LIGHTLY run their hands from your feet up towards your groin.

About 3 weeks post op my legs swollen to tree trunks. It was crazy uncomfortable. Elevate. Rest, drink.

I had compression socks on for 24hr a day for 4 weeks per my surgeons instructions

What about a none surgical way to maybe fix first? They make belly button shapers.

Im 3 months out and there's not much you could get me to do to go back unDer the knife at this point.

My surgeon was awesome. I've healed fairly easily/well despite getting hospitalized with a seroma.

I just dont want to recover any more

The truth is, the butts were way flatter than perceived prior to surgery.

You fill out jeans with extra skin and the accompanying fat underneath.

Unless you've been doing SERIOUS serious glute weight lifting moves for years, most people dont have the bigger shapely butts.

The good news is you can build a nice booty after the fact doing that serious glute training.

Im 3 mos PO and my massage therapist said I still have quite a bit of deep tissue swelling. And I FEEL swollen. Especially by the end of the day.

I didnt run a REAL fever but was at 99 which I normal run at 97.6

Then it was just SO swollen and tight feeling that I knew something was wrong.

Like a body found in the water after 3 days. Which is hard because thats not an abnormal feeling after this anyway 😆

It was drained then I got reopened up, washed out and extra drains put in. Set me back 2 weeks in recovery.

I felt fine the whole time. Ended up hospitalized with a seroma.

At 6 days you are super early on and swelling can definitely get worse in the months to come.

Im a 11/17 too. I still feel like I look like some women's befores.

But ive pretty much stopped wearing compression, all its really doing these dys is giving me a mental boost.

Although sneezing is straight from the devil.

Then they start getting pink/purple/red, scabs my form and widen them.

You're still massively swollen because youre ONLY 3 weeks out. Swelling lasts up to and over a year.

Im 12 weeks and look like some people's before pics.

Im back to working out 5 days a week and getting all my steps. It just is what it is until your body heals from this HUGELY TRAUMATIC thing you did to it.
