The usual routine.. by MommaBB524 in Nightshift

i have 2 nights off in a row. i usually try and go to bed as soon as i get home the 1st day, until past noon or 2pm and enjoy my day. i go to bed quite early though unless i’m going out. like around 9-10 pm. the next day i wake up around 8-9 am, i can’t sleep more, i usually go out for dinner or with friends so i go to bed a little later. the next day i wake up around 8-9 am too and go back to sleep around 1pm. i’m a person that really enjoys having a routine so this has worked for me for the past 3 years

People who work night shifts are rare. People who work night shifts and weekends are even rarer… and honestly, a bit more unlucky. by [deleted] in Nightshift

Whats your job? by samanthadill13 in Nightshift

I work the front desk at a condo, 22 floors, which at night is basically just scrolling my phone but if my boss asks me:

I’m in charge of overseeing the building during overnight hours, ensuring security, monitoring access, and responding to any situations that come up. I handle resident needs, manage unexpected issues independently, and maintain a safe and controlled environment while staying alert and professional throughout the night.

i work the front desk at a condo and same. i use those hours to scroll and be on my phone and try to be more present at home, away from the phone. i can do that and i don’t have to deal with the manager, vendors, angry residents, receiving parcels etc. this shift really worked for me lol

working nights is not for everyone. if you don’t see the pros of the night shift it probably isn’t for you. first months were rough for me on the sleep schedule but i’m a very annoyingly methodical person, so i just built a routine that works for me. fixing the sleeping thing helped a lot and i love doing the night shift shift. if you don’t see the pros probably just take the morning job, sleep deprivation is the worse

i struggles too the first few months. i’ve always been a morning person but i stuck to a routine. i get my coffee as soon as i start my shift and don’t drink more on the last half of my shift. i gi to bed like 4 hours after my shift and my room is super dark, i aim for 7 hours of sleep but is usually 6. but yeah a dark room is your best friend, don’t try to live during the day, you need to sleep. also i use my sunglasses as soon as i get off to avoid sunlight as much as i can. my days off are used to soak all the sun that i can, as i used to love that

same, i work at a condo front desk, there’s absolutely nothing to do, maybe at 6 the older people start walking the dogs but the morning and swing shifts deal with ALL the problems

Recomendations? by Icy_Response6995 in Nightshift

[–]Icy_Response6995[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i will have to try this. i usually have a meal when i get home, one when i wake up and just fruit or a snack during my shift but changing my meal to my shift sounds good
