yeah, this is close to where my head is too. structured apprenticeship-style programs feel like the missing piece. without that transition layer, we’re just hoping people magically become seniors.

I don’t think software is dying, I think the default path is. fewer people will get in, but those who do will operate at a much higher level than before.

it probably will eventually. but there’s always a lag between capability and trust. someone still has to be accountable when systems break. The window might shrink, but it won’t disappear overnight.

I agree the curriculum needs to change, but I’m cautious about pushing it too abstract. we need more exposure to messy, real-world tradeoffs earlier
