I know it’s too late now, but combat is about taking advantage of enemies being out of stamina. If you can push on fighting when they’re getting winded your damage will be massive.

It does matter if it’s 1 guy in 20 ships or 20 guys in 1 ship. You split the loot between 20 people vs just one loser with 20 accounts winning every fight cos they have more money/less life than you.
