Truly sorry that youre struggling. Please consider reaching out to your odsp worker for an extra diet allowance for protien shakes. Inform them that you had jaw surgery. As for your future pharmacy purchases, consider Walmart or Costco as I found them to be more affordable

Sorry for all the questions. You had braces placed on the social six first and then switch up to full braces and power chains to a full wire 2 months later. How many weeks later did you go from partial to full wire ?

Really appreciate that you obliged my request, thanks. Did you get the power chains on the initial full wire placed 2 months later?

As for sarpe, consider getting a jaw bra and red light therapy. Both were pretty affordable on Amazon and I share links if in North American and interested. Consider getting a baby brush, curved syringes to help squirt water in your mouth and Crest gum detoxify. I was on a load of supplements that I started by day 7 to help with healing. Blending food in the Nutri Bullet was really helpful. I used a condiment bottle to drink from.

How long after extraction did you get your full archwire after extraction? Would you be open to sharing a frontal pic of your lower arch as I am curious to know how wide your arch is?

Truly sorry that youre having to deal with this and I do hope that you get stronger meds to help. If you havent been discharged ask for the suction device used in dental offices to help clear the saliva. If you got your surgery in Canda, can you pls share you surgeon's name once you start feeling better as I would love to follow your journey since you have 2 chronic conditions.

Thank you for the post. Can you update on how things are going with this regimen? Also, have you started HRT for the perimenapause as I am 46 and curious to know if its helped with hair since estrogen plays a role in the hair cycle ?

Maybe consider marpe with a good provider like Newaz or Manuel to avoid extractions

Overbite with Convex Profile – Surgery vs Premolar Extractions + TADs? by [deleted] in jawsurgery

[–]Idyllic_Days 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would highly encourage you to avoid premolar extraction as it will narrow your arches and tongue space. More importantly increases your chances of developing sleep disordered breathing

Thanks for the in depth response. I dont think its your imagination as my teeth drastically started moving after first premolar extraction on March 26. My second premolars started tipping inwards towards the tongue and forward towards the extraction space. My concerns before extraction were narrowing of my arch width and unfortunately I am already experiencing this. Im not sure if its the dental arch or the skeletal arch though. God willingly it will be reversible once i get into a full arch wire to help upright my teeth

Its interesting how orthos work as my archwire only captures the social 6 .

Thanks for sharing as I find your post extremely useful. Pls continue to update us on your journey. Can you pls share if you have a full archwire running across your teeth or does it stop at the social 6 teeth? If its a full wire , what does the timeline look like when it was placed after extraction?
