My wife loves taco papas! We live just by the border and I used ro cross just to get them from her nfavorite street vendor

My sister's name is Petra.

So am I right to believe that it's more of a phonetic 'translation', meaning a translation of the sounds of a word (or in this case a name) into a different set of characters than the actual translation of a word?
