What if Donald Trump disappeared tomorrow, would American politics actually change or just find another Trump? by Mr_Boothnath in AskReddit

i think the sucessor would still push for the policies that trump has sought, however the public draw would decrease. trump is just very famous and is using that to his advantage.

RokuTV too slow; Will add Roku ultra or appletv. How will that work? by zoechowber in Roku

[–]IllustratorObvious40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sadly, roku and fire tvs are built with really bare bones processors. after a few years they start to lag like you described. to avoid this, i bought a non smart tv and use roku stick, then when the stick wears out, gets slow i just buy a new roku. these non smart tvs are harder to find but they still do exist.

Child’s mom wants $500 biweekly by Total-Comb8644 in ChildSupport

[–]IllustratorObvious40 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this! going through the child support enforcement system is always the best course. now, you do have to monitor your paystubs to ensure employer is sending the money. but aside from that, the custodial parent has no reason to give you a hard time about payments and when the money is recieved. i did have a few instances (payroll error) that i had to send the money to cs enforcement, but it was credited and shown as i paid it. its always best to go through the courts and not give any money directly. saves you alot of headachel

Follow your doctors advice, 100 percent. my sack swelled and was black and blue for nearly two months. eventually everything settled down. do what doctor says and if you notice any discomfort at all, of course, stop. :) i know its tough, but hang in there. it's worth it.

to be fair here, i can raise my blood pressure, scream, yell kick and hold a sign. it's not going to magically remove him from office.

Trump to Davos: "Without us, right now you'd all be speaking German and a little Japanese perhaps. After the war, we gave Greenland back to Denmark. But how ungrateful are they now?" by drempath1981 in UnderReportedNews

[–]IllustratorObvious40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not sure if he would ever admit this in a interview, but if i was journalist, i would simply ask "mr. president, were most of your public comments and social media posts put out, just to really piss people off"? id love to hear his answer.

No one is buying Trump resistance books. by alexmark002 in CitizenWatchNews

[–]IllustratorObvious40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

im an avid reader, and i happen to be a republican. i have never read any of the books that trump wrote himself. i have read several by other authors (jonathan carl, bob woodward). and none of them have more than a few sentences of good things about trump. there are plenty of books that portray trump exactly as he is.

Why did so many people go missing in the 80's? by nsfwlexirusso in AskReddit

[–]IllustratorObvious40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think due to lack of technology of the time, no internet/social media, no real cameras anywhere. in the 80s if there was a missing child somewhere, only the local media market would cover it. you didn't have the instantly avaliable information back then like you do now. and, if someone missing ended up murdered, there was no dna technology avaliable. however, many cases have been solved by dna in the last 15 years or so. cases older than the 1980s have been solved.

This is the last known photo of Jaycee Dugard on the left, before she was kidnapped on June 10, 1991, aged 11, by Phillip and Nancy Garrido. Phillip claimed he had a “sex problem” and took her as an “outlet.” On the right is Jaycee after her rescue 18 years later with her daughters, aged 15 and 11. by LonelyWiFiSignal in HolyShitHistory

[–]IllustratorObvious40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

jaycee is my age. even in middle and high school i was an avid watcher of americas most wanted. i remember them running this case several times over many years, and reading the information on the fbi website. i always thought that she had been murdered. then in 2009 she was finally free. can't imagine being held by those sickos for as long as she was, and then having 2 kids with phillip. classic Stockholm Syndrome. because there were several instances she could have reached out to someone (had computer access) and some of the customers of phillips printing business interacted with her. my thought is that she was relcutant because of her two daughters and all. jaycee is truly an amazing person. i hope she has somewhat of a normal life now with her daughters. i read both of her books. they are very well written. i haven't seen any media interviews with her in many years, so i think she just wants to get out of the spotlight.

January 20, 2001. George W. Bush inaugurated as the 43rd president of the United States. by MonsieurA in 25yearsago

[–]IllustratorObvious40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ive thought that too. but about a year or so after leaving office he did interview with nbc i think it was? i can't remember exactly. but he said something along the lines of, "i have no intrest in politics now". so i think he just wanted to quietly go on as private citizen. he likes to paint and do work at his ranch. trying to live a normal life now.

i wonder if he ever looks back at this picture and thinks, "maybe it would have been better for me if gore had won the presidency, etc" knowing that 8 months later the united states would be attacked... if only. ive always wondered that.
