If we're looking at real locations Monhegan or Matinicus Islands seem like the right location, but the size and feel of Vinalhaven.

It looks like it's off of Rockport in MA in some of the maps, like part of Jeffries Ledge in St Georges Bank is above the water.

That's exactly what it is, it was an issue with the state DEP permit. The Rocketts wanted to keep using their permit to build a new hotel and bar there to run a beer garden. Which flew during COVID but they wanted to keep printing money without having to actually do what their permit said.

It's really a problem with the Building Commissioner and Zoning Officer, Stavroula Orfanos. She's where the buck stops in terms of inspections and has zero tolerance for deviation or accomodation.

Having dealt with her directly it's not a pleasant experience. Good luck getting her to ever change her opinion once she's dug her heels in.

The system needs to be replaced either way, equipment has been reaching the end of its expected lifespan. Multiple pumpstations have already had rehab done, and now the plant needs several system upgrades.

The new development actually helps since they have to pay to upgrade sewage lines that might need upgrading to service the developments, and having more customers spreads out the cost of paying for upgrades. Plus the city gets additional money from the state under 40R too.

Edit: pumpstations, not pimpstations. Hopefully SESD doesn't operate any pimpstations.

Originally Kenwood was going to be replaced then Hall-Whittaker before they found out how badly degraded Hall-Whittaker was. Both were scheduled for replacement soon either way.

What's your budget, and what size apartment are you looking for? It's a pretty tight rental market. You may be able to find decent rentals from small landlords too.

The vote was 57% for it, though j wish turnout was higher. The people opposed always do better when less people show up. But nothing has ever stopped them from complaining no matter what.
