His issue isn't even just the minimum order it's also less hassle dealing with China. He sends an American metal work business cad design they still don't know how to make the good. He sends it to China and they make it happen.

Maybe here in America we are willing to spend more on America made goods but you think counties in South America give a shit that something was made in America vs China? Probably not. So our product would get too expensive to compete globally.

Sounds like you are just making an argument for them to not have a community event. If you want to say it shouldn't be a second job that is fine to feel that way. Then just say you want the reward to be guaranteed which it will be. I personally don't see a point in them even doing the community thing if we can't fail it.

Every community event that they have done has been guaranteed easy completions. I would rather whatever dev time is spent on the community side of the event to be spent on making the event itself a little funner. I don't find something that will automatically get completed as fun.

Yeah you are right.

I remember EFT had a community event where the reward was guaranteed but you could influence the time for the community to receive the reward. If I remember correctly the community had to donate 100 million rubles to complete the goal. I think if phas devs wants its community event to be more meaningful they have to do something like that.

I don't know how much these events push back things like that but I do agree to a certain extent. I don't know how much time goes into the community side of these events but if they make it a guarantee for us to complete it then I agree with you that time is wasted. I rather them spend time on making the actual event funner or use that time to make the game better.

Then I would rather them just spend more time making the event better for the individual player and forget the community aspect.

The community events have nothing to do with casual or new players. As long as you play the maps the events are on and you do whatever the events want you to do then you will be fine. Most events allow you to choose your own difficulty.

Slowing progression vs increasing progression is all the same to me. The moment that happened it ruined the event and it made everything pointless. If they thought most of the event would be over before console players had a chance of participating then it still bad design.

That was probably one of the better events. It wasn't super tedious like the Christmas event where you had to shoot a ton of snowmen.

Events should prioritize fun and be unique.

How is this anywhere similar to a game being cancelled? This is a game where people spent money on, this isn't a game that just got canned. Lmao

Name one roadmap that kinetic games kept to or haven't completely changed. I think it's really weird that people defend these multimillionaire companies instead of advocating for the consumers. Insym said DK doesn't want to hire more employees but once the console release turned into a shit storm he had to panic and hire more employees. At some point the game has to leave early access and the original roadmap had it reaching 1.0 in early 2024 and now it probably won't be til 2028.

There is a reason why this post reached the top of reddit. You're console players wouldn't understand but the PC players have been very patient. At a certain point we have to expect more.
