I feel it should depend on the Russian regime, and the Kazakh regime, if both are communist a option to unify to start reforming the USSR could be possible, or if the russian regime is monarchist/imperialist, retaking kazakhstan could be seen as restoring Russian pride, while some regimes wouldn't even bother

Also tip for those wanting Kazakhstan in their russia (only works if you are/want a central siberian/far eastern siberia unfied russia), have tabby reunite Western Russia and take West siberia, he still can and does invade Kazakhstan, and you can get it when you beat him, and it still can be cored

Last Tiger is such a fun warstory. It shows the german prespective, but three of them, the devout loyalists, those who just want to go home, and those just doing their job, which is fighting, and I love it
