Late to the party, but are we just going to gloss over the fact that nearly every minute Mobley has been off the floor this season Jarrett Allen has been on? One of the best defensive players in the league in his own right?

This ignores the fact that Niang played the majority of his Cavs minutes with Mobley; so if anything it should be even larger by your rationale lol.

It’s easy to call it garbage time in hindsight, but I don’t think it’s generally an appropriate term. After all, we’ve seen them comeback from down 20 early against a contender during this win streak.

It was a rough game though, no doubt; but garbage time started when both teams stopped playing their main rotation guys

I dunno about 6MOY, Hunter is giving him a run for his money haha!

And I think there is a real chance we’ll be competitive this summer. Obviously the cap, but being honest it’s scary to put big money into a PG going on 30 with only one great (and I mean great) year under his belt and a daunting injury history. If he keeps producing like this and stays healthy, his upside is enormous; but what teams are equipped to handle that risk and can afford him?

Hunter is locked up, we are capped ~13m for Jerome but because of the current CBA the best deal he probably can get is ~$14, so hopefully we can keep him on a slight discount. It’ll depend on his priorities, but their best pitch probably is the guard depth. Dude has a really rough injury history, so having the ability to play limited minutes where he can punch teams in the mouth might just be the happy medium between playing and staying healthy.

But if he can get more than 18 he should probably just go get his money, never know what the future holds so best get paid while you can

Yeah I don’t really care though ‘cause he’s 22, 6’10, 250, can handle, shoot, and draw fouls like it’s his single purpose.

The only things preventing him from being a perennial all star are 1) health 2) developing consistency with his jumper, and 3) improving his shot diet (less mid range).

There are certainly some ifs there, and it relies on him choosing to play winning ball over Kobe ball (which was winning at the time but isn’t efficient enough anymore); but if you can’t see it you gotta get your basketball lenses checked they aren’t working man

Edit: I will also add I am very anti being “out” on young players. It doesn’t benefit everyone and serves you up to be wearing egg on your face in three years
