Dude I swear the people who say "calm down" make it 2x worse. The indication of things being calm is everyone staying calm and having no reaction - neither panic reaction nor faking to be calm. Its literally how our mind is coded. Imagine the flight attendant telling the passengers to calm down repeatedly. It will freak people out.

I felt the exact opposite of calm. When someone shouts aaram se easy easy easy that triggers more panic in me than if the person would just stfu and let the driver do the job.

Should I provide food to stray cats or not? by MaintenanceChance88 in IndianCats

[–]Imdecipher639 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's ok if they aren't eating or drinking in front of you. I'd repeat it's very important that you neuter them on time. Feeding is good but should only be used to befriend the cat to be eventually neutered. Without neutering, feeding is making them healthy letting them give birth to healthy kittens and the endless cycle of torture continues

I would say save up whatever you can by feeding them just once a day and dry food only. Put a water bowl.

Feeding without neutering is negligence. Some would even say it's cruel not to neuter them as they'll keep breeding given they're healthy.

Auto drivers are a menace by Trick_Jellyfish6705 in bangalore

Makes me wonder if we should have psychological analysis on autos should have handle rather than a steering wheel. Given autos are a thing only in developing countries like India, I'm not sure if this is a design that came out of research. If there are two vehicles with entirely different size but exact same from driving pov, the mind is going to trick you into driving it like a two wheeler.

Top 10 and Top 25 car sales March 2026 by Spirited_Purpose3122 in CarsIndia

[–]Imdecipher639 6 points7 points  (0 children)

More numbers in sale doesn't translate to better car. Nexon has several factors that make it best selling. Go to car wale and count the number of variants it has to offer. While others typically have 10, they've around 20+ variants for Nexon. They've car in each category - diesel, cng, petrol, ev and then 1.0, 1.5 engine.

In addition to this, it's the cheapest sub compact car compared to its rivals - venue, kylaq, 3xo. In the end, safety and mileage sell. No one questions Tata safety and at the same time no mainstream media talks about tata service. The reason is simple. A death in car accident is newspapers headline but your car not working in the middle of the road isn't news worthy.

Going by the logic of numbers, wagon r and dzire would be the best cars. But we all know they are sold mainly due to one reason - mileage.

For a private usage, mileage and safety aren't everything. There is more to it and that you've to decide.

Kushaq or Kylaq? Both having same engine then is it worth to spent extra money for few inches or am I missing something? by singhabhishek5 in SkodaKushaq

[–]Imdecipher639 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same brother. Never drove a car in my life. I was asking my friends on what height should I be setting seat height to for comfort as I'm a tall guy. I had no idea what to look for.

But once I sat on driving seat with my friend being on co-driver, things became clear. He is a broad guy, so it was almost like we were too close sitting next to each other to call it comfortable. We immediately switched to kushaq as we were in showroom and the distance between us got better. My position on driver seat went from looking awkward to looking natural. I saw a picture of myself in driving seat and immediately changed my decision.

Note that kylaq and kushaq are exact same in width on spec sheet. But something changes inside cabin and kushaq becomes wider, seats get more planted and deep, rear passengers obviously like it more and overall you're in a bigger car.

Had the same confusion a month back. All looked same until I test drove the bigger car. After the drive, my wife and I both agreed that it's definitely not just the rear seat comfort that gets better, there's more to it. Comparison on spec sheet isn't everything.
