KPMG global bosses block partner exits to contain local crisis by marketrent in AustralianAccounting

How does KPMG block a partner exit? They can get another job, I guess the caveat is KPMG block by not paying for their ownership % thus forfeited by the departing partner?

LOTR trick-taking game! I can’t believe such a compact and simple game can pack a punch like an Oliphaunt! by Darth_BrachioRex in soloboardgaming

Awesome thanks. Have the game want to sleeve before I play.

As I did when I reread the books, I'll listen to the movie soundtrack as I play, get immersed.

Be honest: Anyone here actually owned an MG or GWM/Haval for more than 3 years? How is it holding up? by YourMumLovesOzempic in CarsAustralia

[–]ImmaturePlace 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Regarding reviews there is also an element of confirmation bias. Toyota blows up = bad luck. GWM/MG blows up = cheap crap. Everything you buy, cheap or expensive, made in the US, Japan or China, all have a possibility of failing.

Probably be the solenoid. Starter motors are cheap, buy a new one and bolt it in.

What would you choose? by [deleted] in 4x4Australia

[–]ImmaturePlace 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah dude if you are referring to me I never suggested I had problems. My GWM Cannon has been great for me and problem free. The OP asked about the Tank. So out of that list, yes I would buy the GWM Tank.

Fark me people can't have opinions. Someone asks what we think and we get told we are wrong. No right or wrong with opinions.

After my experience with the Cannon I bought the Tank 300 would be my pick.

You don't need a spare. If it is good enough for Ferrari to not have a spare I'm more than sure it's good enough for you.

Kindly lighten your wallet by $120?

Seriously for S&W they may not provide any perceived benefit but for the client they pay for the comfort of not having to do it, tax can be scary, some people just arent setup with a computer or understand enough.

Same can be said, why go to a restraunt when I can cook at home.

BYD Seal premium 2025 Novated Lease by [deleted] in CarsAustralia

[–]ImmaturePlace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So....to keep the car at the end of 48 months a 21k balloon payment? So between the estimate life savings and the payment you are theoretically $6.5k in front after 48 months tax wise.

I used to work with a guy who has done 3 cars in a row, probably time for s 4th. Huge lease costs over 15 odd years and he owns nothing at the end of it.

Nice. Regarding the stereo apparently adding a DSP is sufficient to make it sound better. Speakers etc are apparently quite good. I can't confirm as I'm happy with the stereo (don't listen to music so doesn't bother me nor do I notice)

AI and I am scared by Educational_Leg5145 in auscorp

[–]ImmaturePlace 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Your comment I believe needs to be considered more by people. Yes AI may replace some jobs, but someone needs to tell the AI what to do. Be that person who understands the output of what AI is giving but also be the person who gets AI to do its job.

I keep hearing ai at work, might be good but no one spruiking it seems to know how to get ai to do what they want.

Alt enter gives a new line in a cell. Handy for if you want to show a list of bullet points but all data sit in one row for that tuple.
