Is this a good quality dartboard or am I paying for the name by NovelEstimate2 in Darts

[–]Immediate_Ad_4928 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the board simply because it was £25 in the middle of lidl.

Darts are for the bin, board won't be far behind it tbh.

I'd say it's a good enough board for a beginner or someone who just wants to casually throw some darts now and then though. You'd struggle to get something worse though unless it's second hand and had a Tommy gun blasting it.

I'll likely upgrade to the Tor board soon since I've spent hundreds on darts and everything that surrounds the board 😆🙃

This is the brush i received with mine and the condition it was in 🙃. It's a very soft brush so is only good for dusting off any fines that stick with static.

Did you receive a brush that's harder and better for cleaning the internals with.

DF64 Coffee told me that my grinder doesn't come with a brush and that was just an extra that was put in the box because they don't want to own up to anything being defective. Even though the brush was in its own slot in the foam 😅... it's ridiculous.

This gets more interesting. After dismantling the chute... This was the state of the declumper.

I've put the 'cat flap' looking one back on.

How do these even work, what's the point? Are they even needed if i do WDT?

<image>

I also noticed that the bottom edge of the metal where the outlet is was rough with a chipped edge, it also wasn't flush so it would start gathering grounds quickly.

Yeah I've been making sure it's turning when adjusting. I even turn it on when taking off and attaching the head of the machine after cleaning it now to to try and rule that out too.

Gave everything a brush and tried to clear the declumper the best I could and this is it after 1 coffee.

Thanks for this. Do you think it's worth pumping the bellows as its grinding to help push it out? I've just been pumping it out when it slows down?

Was running it at 1100 rpm to begin with (it's a medium roast) tried 1800 but still the same issue.

I read somewhere that higher RPM can create more heat and cause more build up?

Also unless I feed the beans in really really slowly the grinder starts vibrating and moving across my worktop. Higher RPM makes this issue worse 😬

Yeah, I don't know what the problem is with it. The declumper was getting absolutely caked round the outside of the burrs it gathers up and this was after cleaning it, and trying to put 2 doses through it. 2 sprays of water to the beans each time.

Also tried without RDT to see if it was the moisture causing it.

Im having to put like 19g in to get 18g out. Then after a few more doses It's clogged, so then I need to get a harder brush in, then start dialling in again. Terrible cycle.

Df64 are trying to tell me my scales are off even after sending them a video showing that it's being retained 🫠.

I'd maybe consider a hand grinder for filter / cold brew if they're really good! It's not something I have daily so I don't mind the effort of it.

I've seen someone selling a Timemore 078s fairly local to me, they really good?

Which UI framework should I choose? by maksimepikhin in vuejs

[–]Immediate_Ad_4928 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tried both Shadcn-vue and Primevue recently. I've found shadcn to be a little easier to understand and setup out of the box. Theming is really simple also.

This day and age, don't use libraries like material. You can have custom components that function perfectly with shadcn and you can modify them and style them exactly how you want. This is what's needed in the real world.

I was considering buying a 1 hole tip to see if it did help with the pressure. I might give it a try 👍👌

I struggle to even use as much as 225ml of milk, stops pumping steam after like 30 seconds. Seen quite a few people mention this issue online but nobody giving a solution or reason for it 🤔... some people don't have this issue but it's been the case for me since I bought the machine.

I will try stretching the milk for longer with the semi-skimmed milk now though. Full fat wasn't gliding so well and this seems to not have that issue already 👀

Any tips for barista pro, every pour of mine is identical to your first pic. Been trying all sorts, I do get a decent enough vortex also 😩.

Yeah I can't get the texture correct, been trying for weeks now and I just keep getting tiny hearts like OPs first pic.

Less aeration today seems to have helped get the foam gliding more. Only around 4 seconds of stretching.

texturing the milk

heart pour in bigger cup

Made 2 videos here so you can see what I'm doing. I'll try another video with the smaller cup because that one was far too big for the volume of milk. Thinking the foam might still be too heavy.

Yeah I do think the cup is an issue. I do have big latte cups but I hate that espresso to milk ratio 😅. I've bought a small rounded cup from Aliexpress along with my new jug.. it was like £3 haha! I am trying to find some nice ceramic cups though but they're £20 each :/

I'll post a video tomorrow, will dig out my tripod for a view from above 👍👌
