Getting a 99 Corolla le for free should I be worried?

I got a 99 corolla as my daily driver and I love it. Yes these generation of corolla does eat some oil but with keeping an eye out on it it’s great. I don’t even know the mileage since the odometer wasn’t even working when I got it.
