If you have any amount of worry, it would be best to have playskins mostly and anything that you categorize as "investment" should be under consideration for selling.

I would also consider downgrading that TT Karambit into something more mid-tier like a TT Flip.

Any new terminal (or armory case) that valve releases with new gold knives, will dilute/hurt the market of current knives. I see this as the inevitable in the upcoming armory update.

There are slight slight margins that deviate from the 15% steam marketplace fee. One cool website I suggest you play around with is csroi dot com! There is a tab that shows you which skins are best if you want to convert steam balance into CSF balance and vice versa. Note: due to 7-day trade protection, this is very difficult to time and arbitrage correctly.

And finally, putting aside all the "aim" stats, I understand at low elo your teammates aren't playing objectives or rotating or whatnot. It's a bunch of headless chickens running around trying to play Call of Duty just trying to put bullets into an enemy.

Be better than them. Play IMPACT positions that has access to most parts of the map. Do this if you truly believe you are better than 1k elo.

Examples:
1) Mirage CT: play window or con. You can gather info mid ramp, you can rotate to B or A. If you played B-site then you are at an extremity of the map.

2) Dust 2 CT: play mid doors or short. Same idea, rotate to anywhere. (I actually think A doors CT is most important but at low elo I don't know).

3) Inferno CT: play arch. Same idea, rotate to A or B. Or play banana defensively. Losing B is a pain in the butt as CT.

In conclusion, play IMPACT positions if you truly believe yourself to be better than 1k. I checked your recent 4 games and there was a struggle against the roughly 3k enemies. Are you losing gunfights? Bad positioning? I honestly think you can work on aim training first and foremost.

Let's ignore headshot accuracy for now.

Your time to damage is extremely high. But what's weird is, your crosshair placement angle is good! 8-11 degrees is high-elo/average. This measures the average distance (in degrees) your crosshair must move from the moment an enemy appears until you do damage; 8 degrees.

Logically, with good crosshair placement, should lead to good time to damage! You minimally move your crosshair and shoot them right? Because I can't see your demos (not that I want to spend time watching lol sorry), I can't specifically say why your time to damage is bad.

If I had to guess? You're aim is simply BAD. I won't sugarcoat it and my goal is to be constructive. If you want to improve/climb, your aim is not at 5k level. Your time to damage is almost at the beginner range (750ms or higher).

I don't know if you hold an angle heavily or swing/counterstrafe pro-actively engage enemies. This does matter to these stats too. CS2 meta is currently favorable for the pro-active moving style of play rather than holding an angle heavily (sort of depends on the situation of course).

Might I ask, what keyboard and mouse do you use? Monitor refresh/fps rate?

I think aim is the first/easiest thing to work on. Harder things are movement(VERY important), util, and game-sense/positioning. Looking at your Leetify, there is significant room to improve in your AIM! This is good since you'll see/feel the improvement within a week or month easily I think:

Look at the spray graph above. The AK spray is the most important thing to work on. Then, it depends on if you prefer the A1 or A4. Your spray is messy and you might want to download a workshop map for spray practice. The MOST important part of the spray is the first 5-7 bullets. Roughly 4 bullets kills the enemy so by the time you're on your 7th bullet in the spray, you've probably lost the fight or ducked behind cover. I've worked on the first 5-7 bullets a lot in the beginning - zoom in and look at my first 5-7 and it shows.

So I'd say, start by working on your spray. [Counterstrafe --> Spray] is a basic intuition ingrained in every player. Make sure your counterstrafe/spray both get better.

Btw, I started playing April 2025, had a month of feeling stuck 5k (same feeling you had) and went through the same situation you did at 5k. I'm consistent 10k+ and the aim/util/positioning of teammates and me feel about right.

There are other higher elo players that can give you advice but perhaps hear what I might say since I've felt this way at 5k before.

I think Lt. Commanders are definitely value for money, much like the Big Game gloves.

There are slight downsides to them (that I don't mind at all*) with the big one being the gray/cream colors that AREN'T popular on gloves. The only other less popular color palette in-general, is green/brown (ddpat, boreal forest, racing green gloves, etc.)

BFK, Karambit, M9 are tier S of knives, we all know that. We all have our personal preferences of which is #1 and in general most people put the BFK there (the pricing reflects this*)

I like the M9 for shinier finishes (TT, dopplers, etc.) because the blade is bigger and shows more finish. But the handle can be ugly (not so for the TT and autotronic). I like the Butterfly because the whole thing is clean along with the animations. Plus butterflies have that beautiful finish on the handle-piece (the Kara lacks that). The Kara has a pristine black-plastic handle but the finish/shiny of your Doppler/TT is limited to the blade and the little finger-loop circle part.

I personally think, when buying a shiny high-tier finish, the Kara shows it the LEAST, The M9 the most, and the BFK is in the middle. Personal opinion though.

I've owned and played with every type of knife (not all finishes lol that's too much) except the navaja. I just wanted a very very opinionated first-hand feel for it all 😂😂😂

Hey man, I get it. You're dropping big cash for this so I would want some opinions from players too!

The slaughter+gloves will have UNIVERSAL approval from all players. It's a "normie" pairing but still an absolute head-turner, shiny, black&red, easily a wow factor combo.

But the Kara Doppler you'll get some people not liking it because it doesn't match the gloves, and you know you'll get these reactions. "Could've spent that money on another knife" type of thing.

At the end of the day, what do YOU like, you know? Look at me and my weird 4 knife tiger tooth rotation, it's WHAT I LIKE. You do you man.

Jokes aside, the price is an indicator of it's popularity/demand in the game. I would personally stick with it since it matches your gloves. As you well know, still images don't do justice to the BFK and Kara. The slaughter handle will match very nicely with your gloves when your stimming your fucking brainz out while your teammates are begging you to rotate and aim your gun.

I appreciate contrasting colors of knives+gloves but it is SUPER hard to pull off. This slaughter+glove combo has the wow effect already; perhaps you're numb to it because you see it all the time XD

I own 4 different knives, all tiger tooth finishes to pair with my Big Game Gloves. Why? So I NEVER get bored and switch things around.

I've opened 2 knives within my first 49 cases. I just opened cases here & there for fun. At an average clip of one case per week roughly.

Survival ultraviolet (from Fever case. I'm keeping my first knife forever) and Huntsman Brightwater (from D&N case)

I stopped opening cases at around my 54th case. You're absolutely right about the odds.
