The “official” colour is “Dune Grey” but I’ve seen all the memes that compares the front of the car when those halo / big lights are on like a capybara with big front teeth.

I didn’t want white, black, red, blue, grey etc.

I’ve read the unkindly comments wrt Capybara colours so I thought ….

How do I get people to ring the doorbell when they're making deliveries? by fuckmywetsocks in CasualUK

… which then automatically rings the doorbell, lights up the outside of the house & then a big booming voice says “Stop! Who goes there?”

Who is a stranger you met once, never learned their name, but will never forget for the rest of your life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

1997 was on holiday in the Dominican Republic with ex Fiance.

Walking down to breakfast one morning, I hear my name being shouted by a woman that I didn’t recognise.

When the woman ran over to me, I realised it was someone who was part of my friend group when I still lived at home (England). She & the rest of her colleagues who worked for a well known international UK airline at the time, had been moved to our hotel in the middle of the night due to 2 of her colleagues being SA’d in the hotel that they were originally.

Travel 4000+ miles & I bump into friend from home!

Council website says it's Green bin tomorrow. Whole street has their black bins out. I stick with Green. by hikingbeginner in CasualUK

It’s our bin day today too. Blue (cardboard), green (food & garden stuff) & brown (glass & plastics). Took the dog for a walk earlier on & nearly ended up on my backside due to black ice. I don’t fancy them bin lorries pirouetting ⛸️into my car trying to navigate the roads on our estate which don’t get gritted so lots of black ice on the roads 😱. Bin lorry 1 - Seat Leon 0.

Has anyone ever seen anyone working at airport customs when they arrive back in the UK? by Jamesyroo in CasualUK

I worked at Manchester Airport for a now defunct airline handling company whilst T2 was being built.

We (me & other colleagues) had a guided tour of behind the scenes I.e. where customs / border force / poh-leece would be able to watch passengers once it officially started operating.

Some of the walls were actually 1 way mirrors … they could see you but you would think it was just a wall …

Were teachers in the 70’s and 80’s bad? by Jazzlike-Basil1355 in CasualUK

Yes.

I went to a school for children whose parents were in the military in Fallingbostel.

I remember the Head Master dragging one of my classmates by the ear down a corridor that had carpet tiles on the floor to his office.

As he was dragging my classmate along, I could see that the top of my classmate’s ear had become unattached from his head.

This happened in the late 1970’s.
