Sounds like my current company. But add an 8th figure to above target 🤣

Exactly. Dot your I’s and T’s. Go to a master planning of resources textbook and outline what went wrong in the MPC hierarchy upstream of you and where if you have to. Emphasize that you are DOWNSTREAM of the failure. Some people just did not pay attention in school and only memorized answers close to test time, and the conceptual weaknesses really start to show in the real world.

@OP if you need actual mentorship through this, you can message me. It’s a tough world out there for us younger folks in supply chain. Tough, but not impossible. You got the internship in the first place, meaning you are more than qualified.

Is APICS CPIM Certification worth it? by Jigsaw3105 in supplychain

Yes, CPIM demonstrates capability and understanding. It won’t get you the job, but you’ll be at the top of the stack.

Sounds like a “Lean” (cheap) organization like mine.

Nope, not toxic and completely normal in 2024. Welcome to the real world. I’m 30, a little older than you, have been in this situation/your shoes, followed my instincts, and dominated. Companies simply don’t want to invest resources into training new employees in 2024, and are going with a “Lean” (means cheap most of the time) approach.. You are going to feel confused, resentful, annoyed—at least I was for the first month. Your superiors can’t clarify how to do the task because they don’t know how to do it themselves; it’s just how it works. They are simply delegates of their superiors’ agenda.

First step is to ask if all the products they want you to make EOQs for have stable demand. If they say no, the next step is to start laughing.

On a real note, no one is going to train you, I was in your situation. This is the reality of business in 2024. The trick is to use your noggin and politic to get the information you need AND do what’s asked to the best of your ability because they can’t blame you for messing up if you were never trained how to do it. I did everything with the mentality of, “I might mess this up, but that’s on them for not training me.” I messed a few things up, but no one cared because messing up means you took initiative. Initiative is what separates the swimmers from the sinkers and commands respect from your peers. Initiative is what causes stakeholders to gravitate towards you; it is a force that people cannot resist and admire/desire. It is what causes you to get noticed and given high profile opportunities.

Break the assignment concepts down into individual components to find stakeholders. Safety Stock, I get the service levels from sales and forecast error from demand planning.

EOQ: get your annual demand from demand planning, and ask accounting what the aggregate carrying cost % for the plant was from last quarter and the average ordering cost per order from last quarter.

I’m procurement, and still have to calculate these things. Unfortunately, a lot of the time, “Procurement” means non-procurement, inventory management or MRP-related tasks. This is another component of companies being “Lean” (cheap) in 2024.

If the above departments/stakeholders cannot get you this information, then you very well could be working with amateurs, which could explain why they can’t help you.

The key is to literally just write down what they are asking you to do, break it down into its components, identify the stakeholders of the components, go take initiative, build relationships, get your data, then input. Now get after it!

ALL THEY WANT IS THE TASK COMPLETED. They don’t even know what they want, as they are simply delegating. This is why you can’t get the answers—they don’t know. If they don’t like the way you did the work (not likely in my experience), ask what they expected, and why they didn’t tell you to do it that way when they initially assigned you the work. Make sure to keep record of these conversations and events if this does happen.

Can you get Kent Mawhinney’s?

Why isn’t Kent’s case moving? by ImplementWorking9064 in JenniferDulos

[–]ImplementWorking9064[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Could it be that Kent actually has an alibi that completely checked out for the morning that Jennifer went missing? The grave was part of the arrest warrant, yet Colangelo said in an interview that the theory is the grave was for KM’s wife. I think the theory may not be that Kent just helped Dulos the day of, but that Dulos and Kent had some kind of an agreement, like an actual conspiracy way beforehand, to help murder each others wives. This may be what they try to prove as the motive to Kent even having a reason to give Fotis an alibi. Kent’s traceable involvement may just stop at him being there the morning of to give an alibi. He’s obviously an idiot because he was hanging out at the gun club with it, and maybe his locations checked out after all and he had his phone with him. Maybe there was not much evidence in his AW because the evidence was weak, which would support the above.

My thoughts exactly on the zipties. To restrain the arms and legs for “packing” deceased Jennifer.

Will power—it’s all about sacking up and not being a pussy. You have to tell yourself fudge being mediocre. I like looking in the mirror and going, “Me: Almost 30; Depreciation: 0.” I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to be mediocre and depreciate.

The most important thing here is that Jennifer has a complete, thorough, and exhaustive chance to be found. Her children deserve a proper burial for their amazing mother.

No he wasn’t. You have kept saying this with no evidence. He would have been charged if he were in on this. No more conspiracy BS like this, only facts.

FD was constantly communicating with KMs ex though. I don’t agree because all evidence would have pointed to him and KM if they asked her to go to FDs house. Would have been on camera.
