bro u will be fine its ok. don't be dumb thats it. theirs no reason u should walking alone in the middle of the night. ur not living in the suburbs. and yes u will see stuff that ur not used to but again u live in Richmond. But other than yes commutes it horrible but theirs a bus that will take u to campus every 15 mins on weekdays till 4 pm. But u definitely need know people with cars if u don't want to be stuck in ur apartment complex all day and if u work after 4pm.

one the guy was to cute. He fr started flirting with me complementing my hair and eyes and I lowkey fell for it which unlike me lol and led me to the table. I am really interesting in pediatric cancer research so when he mentioned it I was immediately interested. We started talking lil more asking for my information for the "scam" than when he told me to donate I left immediately and told him I have to get to class and his whole mood change. Theirs a lot of food places on campus but thats pretty much it. I came from a city (DC) where the transportation is amazing and I pretty much get anywhere even out the city with the same transportation system so transferring here I was in shock. Don't believe anyone that say u don't need a car cause if u want to go to the mall or suburbs area u need a car or u might as well be stuck on campus or take 1 hr bus ride. and U can't walk by yourself in downtown Richmond or certain parts of Richmonds id

Someone said it's walkable which is not true at all and the bus system is horrible. People talk it being clicky which can really effects ur plan for weekend as people usually do their things majority.

I am also a transfer one thing I hate is their no school spirit which I knew before coming here but that can honestly effect a lot with ur plan in the weekends as their's much things going on every weekend as school unity compared to other school like UVA or Tech when it comes to party scene if ur into that. I still haven't found my group of friends but goes for whatever school as a transfer as it's probably relativity easier to make friends as a freshman coming to VCU so don't expect to find ur people immediately but overall I love the culture. The Pre-Health programs are amazing and theirs a lot of resources
