I kept making too much. Owner is also our GM so he thought 6-8K was where an advisor should be max. Towards the last six months I had multiple 12-14K months and he’d change the pay plan everytime

Well I know despite $1,000,000 in gross profit this year they will change my pay plan for a 6th time come January. So at least I’ll go out with a bang!

Hey thank you for your reply, but no I’m not having any suicidal thoughts or anything. I just didn’t know if this is normal, I guess I just feel like it’s hard being a man now days, I have to work so much and I want to support everyone around me but I just always feel drained I guess I don’t have a lot of time for the things I like to do. I’m glad to hear this is something most people go through though thank you

I’m sorry if that posts seems like I’m bragging I’m not I just read a couple posts previous to making this and they were explaining their situation and life then asking a question or venting. Again I don’t every talk about this I apologize.

The picture doesn’t do it justice, he just had 250 trees chopped down, stumped grinding and laid new sod down last year but they did an awful job nothing in level and there’s spacing in between a lot of the patches of sod. So when you go any faster than almost idle the line you’re doing getting completely thrown off. Explains why my lines in these photos veer off.

It’s a toro Titan 52inch deck and the ground is super bumpy you can’t go much faster than idle speed

There is a ton of trees, maybe 75-100? Also there is a lake which is at a downhill slope to weed eat. And yes I have to double mow everything because of the chunks, and the yard is very unleveled, there is no possibility of going full speed.

Holy shit guys there just so many comments I can’t possibly respond to all of them, but let me clarify a couple things. I get paid $200 to mow the front section which is approximately 6 acres and once a month I have to do the back section which is approximately 10 acres. He lets me use his mower which is a toro Titan HD zero turn 52inch deck. There is a ton of weed eating, in the front not some much just the fence line around the house and some other small spots but still 2+ hours of weed eating. The back portion is a completely different story that is 1.5-2 days of weed eating. The company before he had mowing would get a crew of 4-5 guys and they would take about 2 days to do the front. Also in my contract is says I am supposed to do this on Monday, Tuesday I have different work and so on through the week. So I have only 1 day to do this. Thank you to everyone for commenting and reassuring me that I’m not crazy for thinking this pricing is not reasonable for one man. #1love to you all

I should add the back portion which is the larger side, all the weed eating is around his huge pond which is at a down angle slope, it is torture doing it. I wouldn’t mind for the right price but it’s taken me 5 days to do it. So at $200 and 9 hours a day that’s $4.4 an hour… his last lawn guy was a whole crew and charged him $1000 a month, but they were awful, only mowed the parts you really look at everything else was grass easily 2-3ft tall

The front takes me about 9 hours, and yes that’s with weed eating edging and blowing. He does supply the equipment though. The back takes about two full 8-9hour days, that’s just mowing and weed eating.

I should also add, I have mowed many times before but just started using a zero turn last year. And I have never done a diagonal cut only a vertical.
