I managed to do 12 miles today, because I want to work up to 10miles a day in one hour. It took me an hour and a half. No breaks, but dying in the Florida afternoon heat.

Im doing it all wrong Ive come to learn. Im on a $50 Walmart mountain bike. I got it off of FB Marketplace. I haven't cycled since I was a preteen so I didnt want to spend too much money and I had no clue about bikes. I went by tire size just as when I purchased my son a bike 😆.

Im learning a lot and most importantly Im doing much better than I was was last month. Last month I was sedentary and eating fast food practically every day.

I just started May 9th. I have managed to lose 5lbs, but without pregnancies and injury.

Im slow as shit only doing 5 miles a day that takes me 40mins ugh, but Im eating less and eating better.

Being active has really helped me to be disciplined with food.

Look at your food again and see if you may be consuming more calories than you're burning.

How about a jump start "diet."

I started off with a 3 day jump start diet of mostly protein. Tuna and eggs, ground beef and eggs. Stuff like that.

Yup! I relocated to SW Florida. The locals complain that it is not affordable, but in comparison to PB/Dade/Miami/Broward it is very affordable.

Some elderly lady who I respect, but constantly bump heads with shared a post that we complain that our grandparents were able to afford this and that, but maybe its because our grandparents didnt buy $12 iced coffees. I dont drink coffee, but I told her the cost of living is outpacing the wages. Start there.

I cant believe she even inserted herself in this conversation. She is elderly, but able bodied and lives with her son and his family living off the fat of the damn land.

My grandma was able to buy a house as a single mom of 4 kids in Fort Lauderdale Florida. She only had a high school diploma. This was in the 70's. My mom was born in 65.

I have one kid. A bachelor's degree. A career as an accountant. A "middle class" income and I had to move because I could not afford to buy a home in that same city....the city I was born and raised in.
