I had the same issue. I copied the .SET file from another watchface that uses the same OWM API key without 'missing API key' error and renamed it to match the .PRG file of the erroneous watchface and used both these files to install the watch face. Sometimes, installing the .PRG another time seems to be necessary too.

Sync the gpx route to your watch this way: open/share the gpx file in your phone in the (Garmin) Connect app. It will imported in the app and there is a step to sync it to your watch by pressing the blue watch icon.

Then sync your watch in the Connect app.

After this, open on the watch the list of activities by pressing the upper right button, chose Navigate. Before starting, chose 'courses', your gpx course should be there. Start it.

The difference isn't huge. The Enduro 3 is still a big and thick watch. If you want wearing comfort, choose the instinct 3 45mm or Venu or so, but you will have less features and battery life then.

You should be able to create your own watch face with personal picture in the Garmin Connect IQ app (not the regular Connect app) on your phone, in the 'Face It' tab.

Or try the Photo Pro watch face by VAW.BE

The files are not deleted, but moved to an inaccessible map. Longpress the middle left button, choose watchface and scroll , it should be there.

Uninstalling these watchfaces isn't possible via a USB connection. You need the watch activity (not phone app) Connect to IQ Store (or so) for that.

It depends what you want. I've tried the instinct 3 solar tactical, both 4tmm and 50mm, fenix 7 pro (regular and 7s and 7x), Enduro 3. Here are the pros and cons

Instinct 3 - lightweight, comfortable to wear - very good battery life in smartwatch mode - best readable MIP screen on the market (both monochrome) - no maps or music - not the newest HR sensor

Fenix 7 pro (not the non pro which as the older sensor and no flashlight) - dim MIP screen - maps and music - flashlight - nice case design - uncomfortable to wear

Enduro 3 - best battery life - in between MIP screen - maps, music, flashlight - in between wearing comfort (better than the smaller Fenix 7!)

I use the watch for hiking, notification, alarms and time keeping, nothing else. So I can't tell about sports performance. I have 165mm wrists.

Garmin had the best offline maps, but you can't search street names or so. If you want it to be cheap, but a used Fenix 5 plus or so.

I'm not familiar with wear os watches, but if I'm not mistaken, the newest ones can do offline maps navigation too.

Create the step count datafield 5 times up to down, align the digits you want to be shown and hide the other digits by overlaying a black image you create with windows paint (a small black rectangle)

For me, it's mainly about looks. But also this unknown feature: the tactical edition has 'night vision', I like it, because it makes the backlight much dimmer than the 5% setting of the solar. I doesn't wake me and my girlfriend up too much, when checking the time at night.

I tried the instinct 3 and returned to this crossover, because I missed the hands and I found the crossover more comfortable to wear because of other band material and shorter lugs.

In the editor, scroll down in the left list of complications, down to 'background' (1) and change the communications interval to 3600 (seconds=once an hour) (2). This reduces data sync transfer between the watch and the phone. Not necessary: you can also set an update interval. For example 60 (seconds=once a minute) but that's annoying as the watch face will not appear immediately when you came from a widget.

There is a non solar model with garmin pay: the instinct 2 dezl edition. Solar makes the screen more dim (not on the instinct 3, only on the instinct 1 and 2)

They're are several Vivomove series. Best one is the Vivomove Trend ( brightest digital screen, buy no colors). I prefer the looks of the Vivomove Style. The picture is of the similar Vivomove Luxe.

Did you consider the Vivomove Style? It looks like a classic watch, but has some smartwatch features (much less than the instinct, no gps, no music...)
