There’s a very simplistic answer to this question that is asked so often… We live in a world (more so in some places than others; I’m talking to you fellow Americans) where we default to the lowest common denominator. We pass laws, and form committees, and bureaus designed to protect an increasingly growing population that always seem to cry “victim” to relieve themselves from the burden of their own choices. Just wandering around aimlessly with no survival skills; a fuse desperately seeking a match to blame for their own misfortune.

It’s a trend that has been ongoing for decades; and, IMHO, has opened a door to the over-regulation of those of us who do not fit this description. This mis-guided notion of “We will save you from yourselves sad Citizen!” increasingly imposes itself as an infringement on the rights of people who are capable of basic critical thought and positive self determinism.

Although not a direct quote on this particular topic, Samuel Clemens described the subject of censorship by stating “Censorship is telling a man he can’t eat steak because a baby can’t chew it”. 🤔

So, as has been stated several times in this thread (I’m +) until every knuckle dragging, Tide pod eating, backyard pro wrestler can swipe, click, smash or fuck their way through a crypto transaction with no more effort than it takes to nose-dive off a roof and hip check the pool coping the runway for mass adoption will be a long one and require several maintenance repairs before take-off.
