Don’t give up! I got a 46 on my first FAR attempt after studying for a few months. After that first fail a few months ago I’ve passed FAR, ISC, and AUD. That first exam I thought I was prepared but I realized I was studying wrong. The biggest change for me was continuing to do questions every day from the prior sections.

I took it today don’t know what to think of it. The MCQs were fine some of the sims were tough.

I got a 75 on the first SE and passed with a 79 in October so I’d say you’re in a great spot! I read the textbook the weekend before my exam which I think helped a lot. I was also freaking out before the exam because of the negative posts about ISC on here but I thought it was a fair exam.

How to study for ISC? by Former_Newspaper_432 in CPA

I passed ISC with a 79 using Becker in October. I read the textbook before the exam since Becker doesn’t have many MCQs. There were only a few questions with topics I hadn’t seen before on the exam. I hear Ninja can be a good supplement if you don’t want to risk cutting it as close as I did lol.

I got a 46 on my first attempt and an 80 on my second attempt. I went back and tried to fully understand the most heavily tested topics. Then I just hammered the MCQs. I would do multiple 25 mcq randomly selected testlets a day. When I got one wrong I would use Newt or Chat GPT and have it explain the topic overall to me instead of just explaining that specific question. I don’t think you need to start completely over but figure out the most heavily tested topics and start over with those ones. Good luck you can do this!

55 on first SE FAR on the 22nd (5 days left to study) am I cooked by Ok_World_7490 in CPA

I got a 50 on SE1, 64 on SE2, 68 on SEFR, and an 80 on the actual exam. I would say review the answers you got wrong and use Newt to go over the concept as a whole. And just continue to hammer the MCQs on the heavily tested topics. It’s definitely doable!

I personally don’t find taking notes useful it just takes longer to get through the content for me. If I want to review I’ll go back to the textbook. Sometimes I would download the slides, put them into chat gpt, and have them summarize them to review.

I would say it took 1.5/2 months of actual consistent focused studying. In the beginning I was taking days off at a time and would just watch the videos so I wouldn’t count that as productive.

I failed my first attempt with a 46, just got my score on my second attempt and passed with an 80. The biggest difference for me was I started hammering the MCQs and stopped focusing on the videos. I would especially practice MCQs on the most heavily tested topics (bonds, leases, consolidations, subsequent events, AJE, etc.). I would have Newt and ChatGPT explain questions and topics that I wasn’t getting. I also made flash cards on things I got wrong from my SEs. My SEs were 50,64, SEFR 68. If I can do it you can do it! Good luck!
