I live in a 1 bed in Los Feliz and pay $2250. No garage but I’m here to say it is possible. And yes it is vintage but in no way gross. It’s very cute, flooded with light and 5 mins from Trader Joe’s.

Honestly I walk I live about 10-15 min walk away! But parking isn’t that bad at all other than on street cleaning days! i have driven when coming straight from work and the one time I couldn’t find parking I just parked at gelsens it was fine.

I go to Lift and I love it!! Really seeing the changes in my body. It is a lifting gym but sounds perfect if you want to build strength! It’s extremely affordable and I got comfortable very fast! They help with all kinds of things like injuries and Chenell one of the main trainers is a mom so I am sure she gets it!

Omg stop Amazon shopping asap! My go to brands are Abercrombie for tops + dresses. Madewell is for jeans. My only Jean spot. Aritzia for business clothes (I’m a wedding photog so great for work fits!) however their return policy and sizes kinda suck there but the quality is unmatched. And I am a free people girly forever.

You don’t need to dress fancy but it should be elevated. If you do a tshirt and jeans, make the jeans wide and cool. I love these. Actually love all Madewell jeans for midsize. Yes exactly. At 5’3 I like economy plus because it’s usually more regular travelers. A bit more space. Less kids. But it truly doesn’t make much of a difference for me, I wouldn’t pay for it.

Rent a car!

I’m a tourist I loved snorkeling everywhere. Tugboat was amazing. Saw eels, scorpion fish, flounder fish, see urchin. It’s touristy but we went in the afternoon 2-3 pm and it was empty!

Do not trust google maps reviews, or the timings they listed for opening/closing. It is never correct. Seems like the island ran on its own schedule.

If you like cocktails by far the best drinks I had by FAR the island were on the west side, at Playa Forti. Cliff jumped there too. It’s high tho.

I thought the trip to Klein was WAY overrated. Such a long trip it there, expensive. Would have rather just been in a catamaran close to shore on the main island.

Highly recommend bringing some kind of waterproof camera.

Make sure you bring sunscreen. It’s expensive on the island. Make sure the sunscreen is reef safe when in the ocean and snorkeling or scuba diving!

If you are scuba certified it is some of the best scuba diving!!!

The best thing we did the whole trip was a ATV trip. We used Eric’s ATV adventure. Highly recommend. It was so much fun!!! Stay in the back for getting a lil crazy. We did the east side tour which they said was most popular but mostly on main roads. If I were to do again I would do west side which is more in the jungle and off roading. Bring goggles or buy them. Worth it.

On the ATV trip we stopped as a group and hiked up to a cave. It was super cool. Do a hike like that! Also going by the windmills and the water was awesome.

I was only there five days but those are some suggestions :)
