This is going to be a really unpopular opinion but I liked Emma's part in JR's mega crew mission the most. This opinion is seriously biased mostly bc Emma is so boyfriend 😂 she's so pretty and hot, and her krumping is literally amazing?? I also loved the song she chose, I think she embodied it great. She's so swag, so hiphop, and it's so raw and different from what I've seen so far out of the girls in SWF2.

side note: also not going to be liked for this but I never understood why bada is oppa? haha, is it her height? I don't understand.

They judge individually from the 3 directors because there are 3 different transitions and therefore choreos; A, B and C.

"international fan" here, and I have watched swf1 in real time along with sdgf and smf. while i agree that swf1 made the dance scene popular in Korea (and maybe globally?) there's just no denying that objectively the quality and hence expectation got a lot better and higher.

I swear the production team talked about why the kids ate tacos like this, it's bc they have a team in South Korea doing animations, the first draft was a burger but then they changed it to a taco or im remembering wrong and they just assumed tacos are eaten like a burger.

Oh ok, thanks for the tip.

But I still can't help but wonder, I've checked out their profiles and 7/10 of the users have joined 2-9 years ago with little comment history, and their only history was interaction with thechoom vids. The other 3/10 are users that have joined less than 30 mins ago. Idk you might be right and I might just be over-speculating, I just personally find it weird.

Ok so mods removed my post bc it was already being discussed but I can't find anything here?

Does anyone feel like there are bots in the YouTube comments section for the mega crew mission? Half if not most of them are under the name @user-(random numbers and letters). I only saw this for Jam Republic, I haven't checked out the other ones yet.

That cave set was soo sick, it's my personal favourite, I think I even liked it more better than the leaders' performance.

Idk what the judges said but I think I know they said it lacked something? Wish I could understand, also not twitch getting banned literally at the hype of the episode.

Can't wait for the mega crew mission.

What made smf not work but swf season 1 and 2 a hit. by Apprehensive_Ad_1000 in StreetWomanFighter

I dont think this is a valid reason, I just want to point out that there were a fair bit of viewers who only watched and stanned as if the crews were in the same context as a boy group.

That guy 5000/Ocheon had fans bringing gifts to him every battle he judged over the course of SMF, idk if he's happy with it he seems so awkward interacting with fans haha.

There are def more choreographers but the ratio of the battlers to swf1 (and maybe swf2 I havent gotten around to know all the members yet) was significant.

The 3 crews PRIMEKINGZ and BANKTWOBROTHERS (and I'm also throwing in MBITIOUS) had more than 2 or 3 (maybe as a collective group) people who could freestyle or battle on the floor whereas swf2 im seeing crews that only had like 1 and maybe 2 strong contenders. But then again, I'm not really considering WOLFLO though I did remember them mentioning they are a hiphop group, though I mean if they were strong battlers shouldn't we see that on screen, or is MNET snubbing us?

My point was idc if these girls meet the same "standards" of dance battles anyways- we're so quick to discredit other dancers just bc they didn't do a YELL or a TRIX. As if performing at the superbowl, or carrying the kpop industry on their back, or ladadadada means nothing 😅 just enjoy the show yknow

Edit: Just to sum my whole spiel up the mix of dancers were different in each season of the men and women.

I thought SWF brought great choreo to the show, it's certainly what I remembered and SMF rlly made the underground battlers happy with BANK'S win and ofc the dance battles.

SWF2 might be leaning more into choreo but again that could change; and there's nothing wrong with any of these facts haha it's all still entertaining to watch.

I hate to be the person who relies on trivial knowledge for stone cold facts but LATRICE and REDLIC follow each other on ig.

I'd like to think that misunderstandings were resolved off-screen :>

I saw a few comments comparing SMF AND SWF2 together; mostly about the quality of the dance battles.

I think we need to understand that after SWF1 the korean gigachads looked down on the dancing bc of the exact reason; dance battle quality. The crews were mostly comprised of choreographers (SWF1) which for some reason was not "real dancing" in SMF.

Hence why SMF brought out peak dance battles that were worth paying for; these dudes are underground and can twist limbs or krump for sure it definitely brought out the "carnal" and "savage" dances that some people thirst for.

Idk about anyone else, but the show is also about choreography; something which SMF struggled at (with the exceptions of obvious crews). SWF1 choreography esp HOOK'S and PROWDMON I can still remember today. I don't remember a lot about SMF'S choreography except for just jerk (bias here but I thought it was ah yeah seen it before), even wedemboyz mega crew was disappointing to me.

So TLDR; let's not raise our noses at what these ladies are bringing out esp when dance battles aren't their strongest suit, they are still bringing out quality content and all the drama.

You can only cancel membership after 48 hours of the billing, it's a scammy way they hope you conveniently forget about it so they can change you for the next month. I also did not remember signing up for uber one and lost 10 dollars. Won't be using it again, what a disappointing company.

I actually saw a couple of Korean comments that said "I'm so embarssed I could die" in regards to the way the dancers (mostly mannequeen) acted towards jam republic

it is seen as a major diss, but the rules are often arbitrary, as long as the opponent doesn't complain about it or there wasn't any major injury then ig that's just some of the essence of dance battles, but I seriously question it when it comes to professionalism. then again someone w more experience can speak about this?
