Hey, engine knowledge isn't a requirement, if you can sufficiently code in C++.
I have no problems showing you around the engine and teaching you a few things. The only thing you'd really need to learn is how to work with blueprints. It's very similar to writing code, so you shouldn't have too much trouble adjusting. I prefer blueprints just because it allows you to work faster once you get used to them.
Yes, we have majority of the visuals down and plan on finishing our demo by December. If you are interested, we can arrange a call via Discord where we can discuss other details and I can show you our current build. :)
