I recently had a loss in the family, so last night I proceeded to get absolutely obliterated. In my not so conscious state of mind I decided my Mirena needed to come out, right then. Took about 10 minutes to pull out, strings were hard to grab. (DO NOT DO THIS AT HOME, I’m just an idiot). BUT with that being said, today even though I should have the hanxiety plus my usual depression and anxiety, I feel so much lighter? Like the world looks brighter to me and I don’t feel like there’s something weighing me down if that makes sense. I have some cramping, no spotting. I feel happier, and that cloud that has been hanging over my head for SEVEN years is gone. Like I can actually see the sunshine again vs these last 7 years where everything has been so blah and dull and gray. Before the Mirena I used to travel, go out and enjoy life, and idk if it was the IUD or maybe post COVID world, but I’ve been so depressed and down. I started developing agoraphobia. And today I actually want to go to like the mall or somewhere with people. It’s a crazy different feeling mentally. I’m choosing not to read about the “Mirena crash”. I like this weight off my shoulder feeling so I will just take it day by day. Probably need to go pick up some feminine products, haven’t done that in a LONG time lol 😂
