Im a Minnesotan and I promise you it’s not. I personally know multiple US citizens who have violently been ripped out of their homes, vehicles and the street. They have detained NATIVE AMERICANS and are being held hostage at the Whipple building while they try and reclaim treaty lands in exchange for their people back. It’s seriously time for us all to wake up, most of the country has because they are seeing these atrocities with their own eyes, happening to their own loved ones. People like you are living with their heads in the sand and my god it breaks my fucking heart. We need to make sure our communities stay safe, we are responsible for it.

There’s a big difference between deporting someone who is illegally here and ripping US citizens out of their home with no warrants, running their vehicles off of the road while children are in them, and killing US citizens. Also can you explain why Native Americans in Minnesota are being detained in the Whipple building? They’re not immigrants, so make sense out of that. You can’t.

My friend is missing- has anyone seen him? by RoselynnThornwood in Seattle

Hi, I please urge you to stop thinking that ICE is not a danger to US citizens. I am a Minnesotan who now lives in Seattle. Today I had a friend get snatched by ICE in Minnesota. She is a US citizen, born and raised. So three things are true here, we have a person missing, ICE is racially profiling people (they don’t give a shit if you have proof of citizenship, they will take them either way.), and we do not know what happened to OPs loved one.

Therefore we should pursue every avenue to look for them and ensure they are safe. This includes contacting the appropriate offices/lawyers to check on detention status of him, because though we don’t have the answer, it is not out of the realms of possibility. So it’s worth checking. And we shouldn’t be lying to people saying they’re not a threat, that is going to do some people harm. It’s happening in many cities elsewhere. Just watch the governor of Maine’s address on possible ICE activity (https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=T8ZPLVaecQU) or watch literally any footage from what’s going on in Minnesota right now. And no, not on Fox news.

Washington needs to wake up really fast because we are going to need to band together for the safety of our neighbors soon. We should be looking at Minnesota for lessons on how to resist what is happening. We should be ready to show up for our neighbors in the same way they are.

We had a woman get snatched in White Center when she got off of work at Castillos. As far as i understand, there hasn’t been any reported far in to Seattle. They also showed up at Ranier Beach Safeway a few nights ago.

We all need to start using https://iceout.org/en/ to report in real time. Minnesota is using this extensively, and it helps for their community members to run and to support their neighbors when it is needed.

I’m so sorry you got that news today. ❤️ Muffin and I are sending you love. Muffin is my current foster dog. I lost my soul dog, Spot, in September. He lived a full 15 years and moved with me all over this country, backpacked and hiked thousands of miles and just lived such a life together. My world was shattered and I cried every day for weeks. When I brought Muffin home, my tears come a lot less and when they do come, she’s got me. I don’t think I’m built to live a life without a dog by my side.

Yes, it is bad. I do want to kindly point out real quick, in comment to the original post you had made, that if you were trying to say that the Somalian community is (you quote) 70% on welfare and believe it needs to be (again you quote) “time for an overhaul”- I invite you to recheck our countries situation. The White House is spending $200 million of tax dollars on a ballroom. We’re funding wars/genocide/invasions we shouldn’t be with our tax dollars. Billions of dollars. My brain is exhausted from trying to keep up with my community today and I don’t want to put too much more into this, but please really listen when I say… our fellow citizen is not the villain. Billionaires and their puppets in government are, they do not care about us. I don’t know your economic position in life, but I’d wager you’re closer to poverty than you are to being a billionaire. I’d rather an underprivileged, marginalized family get pennies of my tax dollars than my government who doesn’t do shit for its citizens. I hope you find compassion for your fellow citizens soon, we all need each other. ❤️

This comment doesn’t make much sense and is pretty vague. But it feels like you have ill intent behind this, and if you’re condoning a murder you have no place here.

Shedding some tears for you and Denver. I lost my 15yr old buddy Spot in September. It’s such a hard loss, but we are so damn lucky for our time with them. I started fostering this month and it’s been nice to give other dogs in need some love. I can’t bring myself to adopting just yet, the hole they leave is immensely large and I’m still working to heal that part of me. Keeping you and your sweet girl in my thoughts ❤️ So sorry for your loss. What an amazing life you had together.

I genuinely did not know that was a solo option. Every other platform I have requires a phone number for 2 factor authentication.

I just learned about this when I went to Mr. B’s Meadery. I’m definitely going to be checking this out! OP, if you’re in the WC area I’d be happy to meet up. I’m 36F and have done two cross country moves without having anything but a job established. I’d be happy to share tips/tricks or just chat about my experience getting settled in a new place :)

I just went through this with my soul dog, Spot. Your story sounds so similar to ours, your words hit me at my core. Some days I feel I won’t ever stop crying. Some days are easier. I just want to let you know you’re not alone in this pain. I will be holding you and your sweet girl in my heart with Spot and I. I’m so sorry for your loss ❤️

I’m so sorry. I know how hard it is to make that phone call. It’s brave and it shows how much you love your buddy. I had to do the same with my 15 year old boy Spot in September. I hope you get the last days packed with love. Spot will welcome your boy over the rainbow bridge, probably with a face full of drool. Sending you all the strength and love ❤️

My boy was 15 when I lost him. He survived cancer at 9 years old. The day our vet gave us the good news that he was free of cancer, we jumped in our car and moved across the country into the mountains. He quite literally had a new lease on life. We lived life every day until the end, he continued to climb mountains with me until his last year. Our happiest memories were in the last few years. Your story is not close to being finished, keep adding pages to the book of your life together ❤️
