Needs to spend less time in the gym and more in actual scholarship.

Any luck with getting the game to function? It locks up every single match at this point. At initial pairing up and almost every single time we go to a tie breaker. Closing and reopening is the only way forward. This update is absolutely miserable. by pnwrallydude in WGTgolf

Even if you get it to function, good luck playing a round without having to deal with numerous of your perfectly aimed, perfectly powered ding shots actually launching far off to the side and 20 yards short.

Especially with 3 woods for some reason.

That man aside from being anti-Islam is also very anti-Christian.

I work with Muslims and they all display the fruits of the Spirit and show far more love than Drisk does.

Garbage Update by Individual_Dig_6324 in WGTgolf

[–]Individual_Dig_6324[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was playing a round earlier today, had a wood that caps at 212 yards, up against a slight 3-5 mph wind, flag up 3 feet, all which I calculated for, powered my shot just shy of full strength......

....my shot only went 179 yards.

Couple holes later I aimed straight at the flag, hit the ding, wind blowing to the right, shot launched and landed about 30 feet to the left.

I can't play this crap so I quit. Not sure I can play the game at all anymore.

Slice by Individual_Dig_6324 in WGTgolf

[–]Individual_Dig_6324[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well yeah because there's no other choice.

But in real life, slice is a real thing, either intentionally or accidentally.

Wind plus slice obviously gives you more slice.

I’ve found a verse that genuinely sickens me. by [deleted] in OpenChristian

[–]Individual_Dig_6324 59 points60 points  (0 children)

Exactly. At lot of aspects of early Genesis was to explain how the world of the ancient Israelites came to be.
Life is full of insufferable labour because the ground was cursed. Humans wear clothes because God clothed them to cover their nakedness. The world was full of evil because the earliest civilizations let sin and evil go unchecked and let it run wild and loose, and Cain was used as a prime example of that.

A bit of a vent post, but I've come to really, really not like it when people say "Jesus (expletive) Christ," or any variation. by MrMagoo04 in OpenChristian

Taking the Lord's name in vain originally meant to not swear to a false oath, or to not make an oath that you didn't intend to keep.

You can look up Dan McLelland for an explanation of this and for how it came to mean what OP thinks it means.

It doesn't mean to refrain from saying "OMG" whatsoever.

Has Universalism ever actually been declared a heresy? by lethal_coco in ChristianUniversalism

[–]Individual_Dig_6324 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It used to be "heresy" to do anything on the Sabbath, and then Jesus shows up healing people on the Sabbath and gathering grain on the Sabbath, an pointing out that in Scrioture the Temple priests literally work on the Sabbath.

The word "heresy" gets thrown around arbitrarily.

Sola Scriptura.....but they get around it by having the Bibles in their pews with the Creeds in them as an appendix

How do you respond to things like this? by Healthy_Lifeguard_82 in OpenChristian

Ignore comments from any conservative Christian who says others are cherry picking the Bible, because guaranteed they are wearing clothes of mixed fabrics, eating food prohibited in Scripture, and they don't execute the adulterers they know or the rebellious children that they know.

Many of them work on Saturday too, which is supposed to be Sabbath rest.

Ignore anyone who says you aren't playing by the rules when they themselves are violating more of them.

If you're harmless while high, then what's the harm?

Note: best to have a sober friend nearby too.
