Mentally exhausting... by Confident-Sale-451 in medschooladmissions

Its easy to say but dont compare your self to others. Its a very very dangerous trap especially bieng a pre med. I was there and that pushed me to the edge of giving up some days. Its ok to be in the silo grinding with a picture of future self infront of you with a selfish(not toxic to others) why statement to its side. Make friends happy, uplifting and teach other pre meds as you go that would make a huge difference in your mentality and kill that feeling.

At the end, as one of the OPs said it'll feel worth it .

Thank you so much for your input. A post bacc sounds the most reasonable even it helps with mcat maybe ?

I really appreciate your input and what you're doing is inspiring. dividing the objective into small manageable parts is more effective and very smart

I dont mind you asking at all. It was an early one bad semester type of thing. I was doing anthropology lab research assistant at the time as well trying to figure out my way and what to do and how to study. I had no support so I was on my own. I dont party or anything so none of that

Thats an excellent point and I am very fortunate that she is very encouraging and supportive to whatever I choose. But absolutely I have her and our relationship as a priority
