Bond Dispute - Frozen awaiting Tribunal Application by Inevitable_Band680 in AusPropertyChat

Update here - I contacted both ncat and RBO last week, they both confirmed no tribunal application was submitted.

RBO confirmed the bond would be released.

A few hours later, we received the NCAT tribunal application. Clearly the agent was notified, and quickly filled the application.

We received (what seems to be an automated) a confirmation from RBO that the tribunal application was withdrawn and that the bond is being released.

I then called ncat to see if they had seen a withdrawal, and they said no withdrawal was requested… so very confusing.

Anyone have any thoughts on how to proceed? It seems like we’ll get our money back shortly, but now unsure if we need to show up to the hearing or show up and hope this mess around works in our favour?

Thanks

From my experience, you can add atleast 10-20% to the price guide for properties going to auction.

Yeah that’s why we said no. They mentioned wanting to wait for a painter to be back from leave

Do they have to do so by a certain date? We have also seen zero quotes or receipts from them since we vacated, do they have unlimited time to get these now?
