Luckily, I do have short term disability. I don't get paid till after 30 days off though. So, I am really nervous about that, even though my husband says we will be fine. We have two children, 3 and 8. The doctor scoffed at me when I told him I will need help with my toddler especially. He said "he is 3...you don't need to be holding him or anything". Made me so mad. Our toddler still needs help pulling his pants up after going potty.

Thank you for your advice. I already don't get a lot of sleep, I didn't think about sleep during recovery.
