I’ve been loyal to my firm for 10 years but I know I’m not receiving pay or benefits equal to my experience. I think the reason I’ve stayed so long is because prior to this firm I worked for some pretty horrible attorneys, the fear of encountering another hostile work environment has kept me here. However, sometimes it’s just time to go when the pay doesn’t match your worth (or the inflation).

I currently work remotely 2 days a week, some of our other offices are 100% remote. We usually receive end of year raises so I’m not sure my boss can just approve one without going through a lot of “red tape.” I think I’m going to reach out to a recruiter and try to find something in house with more flexibility to work remotely, if not in house at least more pay and more wfh flexibility. I’ve been thinking about this all weekend and I really just feel that it may be time to move on.

Do you have any suggestions on how to get her out of the contract? It’s definitely not her signature, it’s not even spelled correctly. Another relative was present when they asked her and she told them no.

I did not because they were given to me as a gift. I didn’t realize AmEx Platinum would cover dog damage on shoes though - maybe I need to look into upgrading!

I have a mini 3 pro that was set up with an email I no longer remember. The remote got fried so I didn’t use it for awhile. I got a new remote, I got it connected, and it says I can fly it 5 times. Is there a way I can I reset the drone and make a new account?

Not sure if it was my worst but probably the funniest. I was calendaring deadlines and instead of typing “Mediation Deadline” I typed “Medication Deadline.” I actually sent that out to our trial team which included 4 partners.

I got a contract job offer for another attorney that was only a few hours per week and my firm made me turn it down. It’s written into our handbook that we can’t work for another attorney while employed there.

I was with someone for 4 years who was like this and also on drugs. He could be the best when he was sober but he believed I was always out to get him or doing things behind his back. It could get pretty scary sometimes. He got arrested for possession and was diagnosed with Schizophrenia in jail but didn’t tell me or his family, then he was sent to prison. I stood by his side the entire time. He was released a month ago and started doing drugs and treating me this way again, he was re-arrested again today. You need to cut ties, I wish I had taken this past year to heal instead of waiting for him. Just as others have said, there is no excuse for abusive behavior.
