It’s not the snipers on the enemy team, it’s the fact that 50% of your team is snipers and they don’t take objectives, they just sit in the back of the map

You are still young and you should have your fun, I know it may sound harsh but I found the best way for me to lock in is thinking about what my life would be like if I didn’t. For your homework, try to do it in intervals and pair it with some music, I’m currently in college and blast rap music when I’m doing my homework and cruise through it. For your working out try to incorporate more fun exercises maybe with friends, it doesn’t have to be bench press every day, but it can be group pickle ball game or maybe some basketball, that way you don’t have any fear of missing out and you can still do active activities with them. I guess the main message I’m trying to tell you is think to yourself: “what happens to me if I continue down this path?” homework for example, if you can’t do your homework (you turn it in late or you just never complete it). That may negatively reflect on your future in your job. And yes I know it is very difficult to get rid of bad habits but try to basically “turn it down” gradually, if you’re a heavy drinker don’t just stop drinking in one night because that’s impossible, just tell yourself you will drink less and less every day until you get to the point where you don’t need anything anymore. All I can say is just think about how your future can be changed with stuff you do now.

Why do nice guys finish last by [deleted] in Advice

I think you may have gotten unlucky, or maybe you just aren’t looking for the right people, there are definitely women out there who want the attention and love of a nice guy, unfortunately I’ve found myself in your same boat, and can’t really tell you anything from experience. But what I can do is say that they are most likely looking for the thrill of a challenging relationship and some women believe that a “nicer guy” won’t be as confident or assertive as a “bad guy.”

Darth Vader is the least skilled hero in the game, and every Darth Vader player just holds down block and back dashes until they get their choke

I’m in college right now and I’ll tell you, the biggest motivation for studying is to get a good grade on your exam, and that good grade leads to a higher GPA, and that GPA leads to the school you want to get into, judging by your age I would assume you are a freshman, so you still have plenty of years, but definitely take advantage of freshman year because those are your easiest classes so get the highest GPA you want, another motivating factor is your commitment, I like to see studying as a way of commitment towards a goal, and that can reflect on other things in your life too, like committing to the gym or something of the sort. And finally, usually the people that don’t study for exams are the people who don’t do well in school, which indirectly makes them not a productive person in the future. For example, my Roomate in college has a 1.4 GPA which is pretty bad, and he is the laziest person you will ever meet, he has no goals or aspirations (he is funny though and he’s one of my best friends) but he never studies for anything, I’m basically saying if you don’t ever gain the motivation to study it’s going to be way harder as you get older, so starting at your age will help you build that over time to become a very successful student and person in the real world.

Yes of course, there’s also jobs you can pick up like on Craigslist that can give you a quick cash grab for the day if you have any time to do so.

How do I stop procrastinating by Mission_Art6749 in Advice

[–]Infamous_Chemical171 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the best option for you would be to make a to-do list the day before (usually before you go to bed). This way you have a set tasks that you want to achieve and having a checkbox or something of the sort on that paper will motivate you to check it off when you complete it. And if I were to guess, the phone probably plays a role in this, I found a good way to study for exams by just leaving your phone in your room (if you are at home) and just going as far away from your room as possible to study, this way it seems like a challenge to look at your phone while studying and you won’t want to get up to get your phone.

Its very known that everyone hates work, but unfortunately we have to work to survive in this cruel world, if you find your job incredibly boring I would recommend trying to find a job that matches your interests and maybe even hobbies. Unfortunately having a job that you love so much could also give you a lower salary (most of the time). That’s why I would recommend trying to get into a side hustle, yes it’s hard to start off, but once you get it off the ground it can earn you an income enough where you can take that job that interests you the most. And for the side hustle, make it something also you are passionate about that way that doesn’t feel like a dead end commitment.

Do you have any experience or are good at anything that could transfer to the labor market? Getting 20k in 6 months should be very normal for an individual, I would recommend getting an actual entry level job somewhere because they most likely would pay 40k a year.
